Dear friends,
My daughter's Birth certificate is in regional language (Punjabi).
Can I translate myself and make an affidavit (notary attested) from myside ?
OR from any other known person which is not our family member ?

Also, Particulars in certificate are given in both languages with a slash (/) between them. But their respective detail is filled by hand in only regional language.
In translation version should I write both language particulars or only english.

For Example: Original
Father's Name/Father's Name
Name/Name

(Green colored are in regional language)

Translation would be:
Father's Name/Father's Name
Name/Name
Am i right ?

You yourself or any other relative cannot provide translation of the documents. You need to find a translator who doesn't know you by relation and also need to provide an affidavit from that translator.

I'd suggest to get it translated via notary.
They are aware of this and have a separate fee for translation.
You can however create a draft as you like and show it to the lawyer.

And for the documents that are bilingual, i've sent them as is and explained in the covering letter, that Docs are in both Hindi & English.
Hope it goes well. ::)

Based on above statistical analysis of the Spreadsheet available on this forum probably there will be approximately total of 3228-Applications received at CIO-from 30th September,2014 till 19th December,2014 and which are un-opened till now.

Please give your comments / Corrections in this regard.

George, Doha, Qatar

Could be........ but unopened? I doubt..... My guess is, completeness check is already done for 1st or 2nd week of nov apps.... We could very well see charging starting for nov this month itself. Lets wait an see.

Hello Friends,

After a long time on this forum. Feels good actually.

A thorough patience testing done with me!!!

I am a 12 may applicant...per 19th aug...second line update 1st nov...no MR yet.

I have so many important decisions to be made like my child's school admissions etc.. Feel stuck up. What should I do..my consultant asked me not to inquire NDVO for the status.

Does anyone have idea about the waiting period after 2nd line update? Please respond.

Hi All,

I have submitted my application with payment mode through credit card. Recently a feature is activated in credit card that when you pay online a "SecureCode" will be generated which will be sent to the credit card holder mobile number. Once this code is entered then the transaction is successful. I contacted bank and asked them to deactivate this feature. Earlier they refused however when I explained they have forwarded the request to concerned department. Bank also told that "SecureCode" will not be generated for Immigration related transactions. But I am still pushing to get this feature dectivated.

My question to everyone is that if anyone has a similar case? Is this true that Immigration related transactions dont generate "SecureCode"?

Please reply ASAP. Thanks

CC Transaction is not an online transaction.
