Dear all,

A question for ECA:

I have done Masters in Computers and My ECA has been completed, the report says:

"Canadian Equivalency Summary

Bachelor's degree (three years) and master's degree"

I was looking for the Document Checklist for Master Degree points and it says "CIC only accepts as an entry-to practice professional degree, those degrees issued in relation to an occupation listed at NOC Skill level A and for which licensing by a provincial regulatory body is required."

I am confused what are the Point for my Master degree...? 23 or 22 or 21 or 19....!

Kindly confirm...!

FOR NOC 2132

What I think, 207 are with completeness check done and payments forms sent to Finance department for fee collection which are there in another que.
And paralley these 207 applications are sent for elgiblity review (67 passing marks and NOC matching etc.) by senior officer.

Many forumites like sandeep7972, Dave123, Sunnynitian, (all applicants dtd. 24/09/14) have received their PERs (even 1st Oct, 14 app has received PER - new entry)
So 700 caps are upto 24th Sep by rough estimation.

PERs issued from 26th Nov to 17th Dec (22 days) = 700-624 = 76 i.e. 3.45 per day for month of Sep
PERs issued from 7th Nov to 26th Nov (20 days) = 624-532 = 92 i.e. 4.6 per day for month of late Aug
Assume current rate of 4 apps per day.


As quoted by other forumites in earlier posts, completeness check upto mid Nov would have been completed by mid Dec, 14.
and 207 pending applicants are from 24th Sep to Mid Nov (which is justifiable from 207/4 = 51.75 days and adding these 51 days to 24th Sep i.e. last PER date. It works out to around 14th Nov,14)

Still 93 apps to go for cap for NOC 2132. Assuming same linear rate of 4 apps per day from 14th Nov, 14
It can be assumed that NOC 2132 will be capped around 93/4 = 23.25 days from 14th Nov,14. (i.e. by 6th Dec, 14)

There can be one week of tolerance in above dates with above assumptions.

Other Forumites may like to review and comment pls..

this 907 applicant is till 26th of september ,it will last till another 23.25 days ,hence i stronglly fell that only up to 20th OCT applicants will be in CAP , for you, i will suggest to go for another application with another NOC.

I am not sure if the company on which payscale you are willing to give the details of the project or client a person worked because of the security reasons..this happens with me..I have worked for a client company through two service providing companies..both service provide companies decline to give reference of client details on ref letters. so i contact the client and they gave me a letter on the company letterhead stating that i work for it thought two service companies. god knows if it works.. My DD is charged but still waiting for PER..

Hi Buddy, you can refer to my post on 1027. I don't know if it would be helpful in your case but thought sharing with you.

However in your case i believe it should be your employer (on whose pay scale you are working) should be giving the reference letter.

Can someone in similar stage help our friend here please.

Yes, that is correct. I have obtained reference letter from my employing company who has provided me the offer letter and in the reference letter it is mentioned that I am a permanent employee of my company however I am deployed at their client's location i.e. IT company that I actually work for.
