Express Entry: what it means for potential candidates
Starting in January 2015, Express Entry will be your first step to immigrate to Canada permanently as a skilled worker. Express Entry is not a new immigration program; it is simply a way to electronically and effectively manage applications under the following key economic immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), or Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Provinces and territories will also be able to recruit candidates from the Express Entry pool through their Provincial Nominee Programs to meet local labour market needs.
Here's how it works:
You will complete an online Express Entry profile. If you meet program criteria, you will be placed in a pool of candidates.
To complete your online Express Entry profile, you will need to create a Job Seeker Account with Job Bank so you can view jobs from employers in Canada and begin applying to jobs. Job Bank is an electronic listing of jobs provided by employers from everywhere across Canada.
You should also promote yourself to employers directly or through private sector job boards and recruiters or other means.
We will rank all candidates in the pool based on the information entered into their Express Entry profile including skills, work experience, language ability, education and other factors that lead to economic success in Canada.
We will only invite the highest-ranked candidates from the pool to apply for permanent residence. You are not guaranteed to be invited. Candidates with job offers supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment or a provincial/territorial nomination will be awarded enough bonus points to be invited to apply at the next eligible draw of candidates. A Labour Market Impact Assessment allows employers to hire a qualified foreign national if they have been unable to find a qualified Canadian or permanent resident. Provinces and territories have access to the Express Entry pool and can select candidates through their Provincial Nominee Programs.
Candidates who receive an Invitation to Apply will then be able to complete an electronic Application for Permanent Residence.
Under Express Entry most applications for permanent residence will be processed within six months or less.
Learn more about the application process at: www.canada.ca/ExpressEntry.
We look forward to providing you with more updates on how Express Entry will work for you.

After PER, within how many days they are asking for PCC ?

After PER, ur file takes at least 20 days to reach NDVO... usually it takes abt 6-8 days to reach CPC-Ottawa and also remember that they send bundle of files together... So, may be ur file was sent on the day of PER or after a week.

Also after it reaches NDVO, it will be in q for review,... so, another 15-20 days wait...

U may expect medicals and PCC request after a month to 2.5 months from the day of PER...Gud luck....

Hi can some one comment on my below query .
I applied on 16th july as principal applicant and received my PER in Nov

while I was waiting I started gathering my spouse's app as a backup and all my spouse's docs are
ready . I haven't heard from my visa office.

my query is is there any harm in sending a second app . I have seen many waiting for their MR

Due to background checks

Since all the docs are ready do I need to float another app

please let me know

will cic be annoyed .

At what stage if I need to withdraw if my second app gets thru

Thanks
You can send a second application as a backup, that will not harm your case. Just be sure to cancel the payment of the CC if your first app moves to MR.

I only know 2 but there might be more.
Job duties that does not match with the NOC description and not getting at least 67 points.
Maybe a more experienced member could give you more details.
That's why when the payment is cleared we like to say PER it's on its way and that's true most of the time.

Dear all ,urgent advice

My file sent back from CIC to me on 30th October according to their email to me,but unfortunately till now no reach, I want reapply again but the only document which I need from the old file is the original ECA report.i asked the them (PEBC)to reissue another original one but they refused.

My question( can I resend my file with a copy of ECA report and then after delivery of my old file I can send the original one?

Please advice

[yes you can include a copy of the ECA report according to them, these depends on the reason why your file was sent back and if you NOW feel you meet the requirement. Write a cover letter explaining your situation and why you couldn't include the original copy...do not also forget to include a print out of the letter that was received by you from cic stating the reason file was sent back.

in between, all ECA reports comes in 2 original copies (eg WES), you should have a 2nd one....

thank you for your reply.i will do so,unfortunately i did not use WES as i am a pharmacist so i used PEBC organization and theyare not flexible at all in issuing an ECA duplicate even with extra money
