I sent my application in early November and per Fedex it was delivered to the Nova Scotia location, but I haven't heard or got any acknowldge via email or mail from Canada Office. How long should I wait or is there a way to know the status on my application. Please elt me know. Thanks much

I am sending a DD for payment of application fee. It is mentioned in the form that payment should be in CAD $. I have a US $ account in Bank and my DD will be in US$ as well. So, what will be the amount of DD. The form says CAD$550 per person. For 2 it becomes CAD$1100 but DD will be in US$ so due to exchange rate difference, will I make a draft of US$980 or will it be US$1100. I am confused totally.

Your DD MUST BE in CANADIAN DOLLARS I repeat DD MUST BE in Canadian Dollars.

Whom should be contacted?

To withdraw an application submitted online through your MyCIC account, send an email to question@cic.gc.ca . Write “Withdrawal of online application” in the subject line.


Please include the following information in the email:

•Your name
•Your Unique Client Identifier (UCI) (if you have one)
•Your date of birth
•Your country of birth
•Your complete address (if your mailing address is different from your residential address, please provide both addresses)
•Your telephone number
•Your application type
•The date you submitted your online application
•Your application number (if known)
•Your payment receipt number (if known)
CIC will determine if you can withdraw your application and will contact you if more information is needed. If CIC determines that your application can be withdrawn, you will get a refund for your application

you can ask your bank to issue the DD by any currency you want regardless your original account's currency since the exchanged amount will be deducted from your account on issuing the DD and all banks have their exchange rates

What happens in case PCC takes too long from respective countries and we dont submit it on time? Does CIC understand the problem or its the other way around? Thanks

We need to inform the VO about the delay,
I guess your PCC is due from US, there are people who had their due date extended by 1.5 months after informing VO

Dear form experts. Kindly advice. On a travel related name confusion. My consultant has send below case specific email. Physical courier has also been done with supporting evidence and letter signed by me.

Email explains the scenario. I received per on 28 nov. Visa office london. Will this email cause any problem for me?

The above mentioned applicant is being referred. The applicant just want to bring to your attention a travel that was not mentioned in the initial submission. She travelled to UK on October 2006 apparently the information is not provided in the Supplementary Information- Travel History due to the wrong name that was shown in the passport that cause the name to be misspelled in her visa for UK and it she didn’t notice that before travelling. After she came back from her travel she immediately change her passport with the correct name.



The details were not mention due to the confusion on her first name on the specific travel and not to hide or not to disclose anything. Now that she received the file number she then asked us to send an inquiry email for the same so that you can advice what can be done. Document that will support this will be send to your office via physical dispatch.

The DD has to be CAD 1100 ...

Ask the Branch / Operation Manager of your branch to make DD of CAD 1100 and deduct equivalent USD from your account ...

Alternatively go to any money exchanger preferably Wall Street (as its good one in Pakistan and they usually deal with imigration DDs) and ask them to make a DD of CAD 1100 ... They will ask you to give them equivalent PKR so do take those with you ..
