Can someone guide me on how to get India passport renewed in India?

My passport is expiring in 11 months. I will be traveling to India for 3 weeks in January and I wish to get renewed passport during that period.

I hate the f****** **s at India embassy in London. I went there today with everything, I was exactly 3 minutes late. First the lady there insulted me by yelling "why I was late 3 minutes?" Then she asked me to wait, she'll call me. After 35 minutes of wait, she told me to come after 2 hours because their system is down. Simply treated like they were my rulers. Not even my boss would treat me like this, so I have decided not to visit Indian embassy in London, if possible ever again! And I want to get passport renewal done in India. I am ok with paying tatkal costs for getting it done quicker.

Hi Bro,

I am not sure sure how it would imply to your status as an NRI, but i applied for my mum's passport last friday and she received the passport yesterday, so things move on a very fast pace here these days.... This is just for your info buddy....

Jaxon,how will your present address get verified when you are in India?
I guess its still better to get from London High Commission..

Hi All,

I got a request for RPRF fee on Sep18. I had paid RPRF fees and emailed the receipt to CPC on Sep 26. But there is no update on my case that RPRF has been received. Do we need to mail them the receipt too ?

I got a request for police certificates on Oct 6. I mailed them the documents on Oct 14. But there is no update on the case regarding the documents.

What should I do ? Please give me any suggestion.

Visit passportindia.gov.in
Its an online proces.
