Hi Seniors,

I would like to reapply in the same noc 2133 but the thing is that British council doesn't give me a second score report of my IELTS. They say we only mail it to the cic if you provide proof of application. Is this normal? How can I persuade them to send me an additional score report?

Sincerely,
Mostafa

show them a copy of your "GENERIC APPLICATION FORM" along with the courier receipt you already have, I did the same and got the 2nd TRF from British Council,

this is your right to ask for 2nd TRF as mentioned here:
http://www.ielts.org/test_takers_information/getting_my_results/getting_my_results.aspx

good luck

I told you best thing you can do is be honest i.e. send them updated form with a cover letter. I am passing on exact advice seniors on this forum gave me "VO will not refuse your app for such a minor error especially when you're being honest by sending in new form"

First thing VO does after PER, is background check. If they find out about this, then they may refuse based on suppression of facts clause which you agreed to by signing at the bottom of the form.

If they don't find out, then you'll get a MR.

However, please be aware that these documents WILL remain on file with CIC throughout your life. Even if you get away on this occasion, you may get caught in future. For e.g. when you apply for Canadian citizenship / passport in future, they DO a thorough check on your background and history.

Good luck!

I had done the same mistake. I drafted an apologetic cover letter, alongwith revised background form, photocopies of US visa rejection letters and sent it to my Visa office in New Delhi via courier.
Generally after your Medicals, your local VO does criminality check, wherein 1 of their checks includes verifying your information with the US immigration database too (generally for asylum, deportation etc.) but your student and tourist visa rejection will definitely crop up there.

Although, that's not a base to jeopardize your Canadian PR, but they might reject your case based on misrepresentation...now...after you get a PR and land in canada..or maybe even after you acquire a Canadian citizenship...you never know..quite uncertain situation to be in....

Hence, I suggest you send your local VO all these docs by courier. Declaring this now won't affect your PR application for sure..a 100% positive on that!!

Cheers!!

Hi alb123,
I have taken PCC twice so far from PSK. You get it in a week but you do get it on the same day before you come out of the PSK office.
Only If your passport is less than one year old and police verification is done for passport renewal.

Hope this helps.
Thanks

Thanks. But do they post it to my address?

I already have a notarized rent agreement, but they say it is not registered by court. Since this property is not registered as being rented, i cannot get the rent agreement registered.

That means there's no solid proof of your stay in noida, right ? The other way could be to obtain a PCC from your hometown's passport office.

It depends, talk to the institute you took the exam and coordinate it,
for me the 2nd TRF posted to local British Council branch and they emailed me to come and collect it and it took around 20 days, for you it might take less.

Hi,

Today I got my PCC from PSK Bangalore (Sai Arcade - Bellandur). This post will be useful for Bangalore folks who are interested in getting their PCC.

Steps for getting PCC from PSK are as below:

1. Register yourself on passport.gov.in and create a login
2. Download e-form and fill it offline (This is the best way and recommended by Passport authority as well)
3. Login with your registered user and then click on Apply for PCC and upload the filled e-form.
4. After uploading, print the ARN (Application Receipt Number) - Make sure you check your details on the ARN - In case of any mistake, correct the offline form and re-upload.
**** Do not pay online and schedule appointment as PCC applicants can walk-in between 9:30AM and 11:30 on working days ******
On the day you visit PSK, carry the following:
a) Present address proof (Only required if your present address is different from passport address - for me it was the same so I didn't need this)
b) Passport Original and self attested copy
c) Proof of why PCC is required - ***Many PCC applicants were sent back without a proper document explaining why PCC is required. I carried with me the document checklist IMM5612 print out since I haven't yet received my PER. You may also carry local VO cover letter asking for PCC if you have it at this point.
d) Self-written letter to Passport Office, Bangalore, stating the purpose of issuing PCC - I wrote that it is needed for my Canada PR application

On the day of visiting PSK:
1. Try to reach PSK by 9AM (latest) to avoid rush
2. Once inside show all documents to the counter at ground floor and you will be given a token
3. You will then have to go to the inner hall where your token will be called (A counters) - Here you pay your PCC fees (INR 500 per applicant) and photo and fingerprints are taken.
4. You then wait for your token to be called by APO or C counter (also referred as Granting Zone) - This took me 4 hours due to lack of passport officers present (I suppose most of them were on vacation with the long weekend starting tomorrow). I was first called to APO who checked my passport and then sent me to C counter (another wait of 1 hour).
5. At C counter, my passport and file was taken and 2 copies of PCC was issued instantaneously. A stamp was also put on my passport stating PCC Issued for Canada. If your address is different from passport address, then at this stage the officer would inform you that further police verification will happen and only then PCC will be given.

Hope this helps! It took me around 6 hours so plan your day accordingly. My wife also applied for her PCC along with me and her case moved along at the same pace.

Cheers.
