Guys, update on my case.

NOC: 1112
App Sent: May 02
App Rcvd: May 07
CC Charged: June 23rd
PER Received: Aug 07
Additional Documents Request (RPRF etc.): Oct 15
Medical Request: Oct 16
Medical Done: Oct 27
Additional Documents Sent: Oct 27
RPRF Payment: Online via Credit Card (Sent receipt via additional documents)
Additional Documents Received: Oct 29
Passport Request Email Received: Dec 02

Visa Office: London
Country from where Sent: Pakistan

In passport request, they have mentioned that the visa will be valid till my Medical Date. I have been given 30 days to submit passport + 2 recent pics of myself and family members + Updated Information Sheet (was also asked in additional documents).

They have asked me to submit Passport at Islamabad, Canadian Office via Post.

I know the ambassador, I may call him and have it delivered to him instead, if he says that is fine. Perhaps tomorrow.

Regards

Congrats!

i have heard that canadian govt is changing for anyone to apply for citizenship from 3 years to 4 years. Anyone has an official link which confirms this? when does it become effective? If someone has PR Card before that will they be effected?

It is already reality: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/world/Bill-C-24-is-now-law-Canadian-citizenship-is-harder-to-get-easier-to-lose/articleshow/38975551.cms

Not very encouraging news.

The law is called "Strengthening Canadian Citizenship Act"

One more confusion regarding "Family name" and "Given name"... I don't have "family name" in my passport.
so what should I fill for family name?

I read below in CIC site which is confusing me to write "given name" in place of "family name" and not applicable for "Given name"..

What do you mean by surname?

Your surname is your family name. It is sometimes called your “last name.” If your name is spelled differently on your official documents, please write your name as shown in your passport. When filling out applications, type your surname as it appears on your passport, travel or identity document or any letters you got from the visa office or case processing centre where you sent your application (even if the name is misspelled). Do not use initials.

If you do not have a surname on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field, write “not applicable” or “N/A” in the given name field.

Not a problem buddy. Difference in billing address did not affect my CC charging. I just got charged last week.
The best thing your friend can do is to ensure that the international transaction limit is enough for your fee and notify the bank of the upcoming charge from CIC.

Thanks for your good answer. The bank is in Canada and he buys tickets most of the times which are nearly $1000. Will it still be a problem about international transaction limit?

Hi friends,
I have a question regarding RPRF online receipt.

I'm the spouse of the primary applicant, who made the online payment. On the receipt, there is a section/box under Payer's information with my name on it and open sections where it says Date of Birth, Client ID, Address and Phone number. My question is:
(1) Do I even need to fill these sections on the receipt at all before sending to CIC?
(2) If yes, Does those information should be of the primary applicant or whoever paid the fee (mine)? Does Client ID refer to UCI #?

I appreciate your valuable comments.

Thanks.

Have a look at this:
it seems it is used to verify the CC holder: Search on Wikipedia: Address Verification System

my address was mentioned incorrectly and my CC was charged.
