Hi Friends, :) :)

I have a question from my Canadian foreign workers who are currently in Canada on a Work Permit and has filled and application under FSWP.

My WP is about to expire in 3 months and i received a very first letter from CIO i.e. PER email.

Can anybody suggest me if i am eligible to apply for Bridging Work Permit.

As i am little confused, somebody has told me i can only apply for Bridging WP after i get Medical Request from CIC.

A bit confused.

Your response will be appreciated :| :-[

To be eligible for a bridging work permit, the following parameters must be met:

the foreign national is currently in Canada;
they have valid status on a work permit that is due to expire within four months;
they are the principal applicant on an application for permanent residence under the FSWP, the CEC, the FSTP, or the PNP (see note below);
they have received a positive eligibility assessment on their permanent residence application under one of the Economic Class programs above; and
they have applied for an open work permit.

Please note the following foreign nationals do not qualify for a bridging work permit:

Foreign nationals in Canada under section 186 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (work permit exempt) situations.
Foreign nationals who have let their status expire and must apply for restoration in order to return to temporary resident status.
Foreign nationals whose work permits are valid for longer than four months and/or already have a new LMO that can be used as the basis for new work permit application
Foreign nationals applying for a bridging work permit at the port of entry.
Spouse and dependents of the principal permanent resident applicant.

Try this first,

Drop a mail to CIC (case specific enquiry), telling them about your expiring work permit and how difficult will it be to leave the job and come back after a few months to start from scratch. If they can expidite your file (attach your details about your current work permit, job details, reference number of your employer if they want to talk with them).

Why i am suggesting this, coz one of the indian guy who had a license getting over in few months or something bla bla got visa call in 5 months after filing the application. You could get lucky as well, you never know god can shower happiness anytime over anyone :)

God bless

Hi Guys!!! I just saw my ECAS that 2nd Line got updated.

THANKS YOU GOD!!! PER was received on 17thOct2014. Now waiting for MR Request.

Permanent Residence -
Line 1. We received your application for permanent residence on June 18, 2014.
Line 2. We started processing your application on November 27, 2014.

Seniors please update the Spreadsheet!!!!! Warm Regards

Congratulations my dear friend ..

It looks Johnny IELTS points calculation is correct.

There are some applicant reported that they got exactly 67 points and for langauge ability, their language points are odds (not 16 or 20 or 24). they still got PER.... :)
That means , once you cross minimum of 6 in each band, language points are calculated based on the individual language ability but not overall ability.

Points are allocated based on CLB level as shown below:
First Official Language Points
Speaking Listening Reading Writing
CLB level 9 or higher 6 (IELTS 7) 6 (IELTS 8.) 6 (IELTS 7) 6 (IELTS 7)
CLB level 8 5(IELTS 6.5) 5 (IELTS 7.5) 5 (IELTS 6.5) 5 (IELTS 6.5)
CLB level 7 4 (IELTS 6) 4 (IELTS 6) 4 (IELTS 6) 4 (IELTS 6)
Below CLB level 7 Not eligible to apply

Points calculation:
Example 1:
If I get IELTS scores as follows: Speaking 7, Listening 7.5, Reading 7, Writing 6.
My CLB level as above table is 7. So 4 points will be allocated for each category.
Total points observe towards English language ability is 16.

Example 2:
If I get IELTS scores as follows: Speaking 7, Listening 7.5, Reading 7, Writing 6.5.
My CLB level as above table is 8. So 5 points will be allocated for each category.
Total points observe towards English language ability is 20.

First scenario:
Speaking 7 = 6 points
Listening 7.5 = 5 points
Reading 7 = 6 points
Writing 6 = 4 points

Total = 21 points

Second scenario:
Speaking 7 = 6 points
Listening 7.5 = 5 points
Reading 7 = 6 points
Writing 6.5 = 5 points

Total = 22 points

Dear Friends,
need your help please
VO: Cairo
NOC: 2174
App Rcvd: 14th May 2014
CC Charged:18 Aug 2014
File transferred to CPC-O: Aug 28 2014

till now my status on ECAS is "we received your application on.." and no other lines added, also no communication for MR or anything
does this mean they didn't start processing my file?
do i need to worry now or this is normal?
shall i contact them?
any similar cases?

Thanks,

There are cases where medical requests get that late, however, you should contact CPC-O by email immediately to make sure they didn't send an email and you missed it or something. CPC-O takes around 4-6 weeks to respond.

Hii there

NOC code 4011

application recvd: date 24th july 2014. but even the payment has not been charged yet..is it a matter of concern.....anyone please guide

Friends,

I am in a tricky situation:

I am CPC-O applicant.
Applied on May 23rd 2014,
Application received by CIC on May 29th 2014,
PER received on Sept 23rd 2014.
That time, my ECAS Stats was:
In Process --->
1) We received your application for permanent residence on May 29, 2014.

But as soon as I get My PER, I have sent the PCC, up front Medicals and RPRF to CPC-O even without waiting for their response.
On October 23rd 2014 my ECAS Status changed to
In Process --->
1. We received your application for permanent residence on May 29, 2014.
2. Medical results have been received.

And on October 31st 2014 again ECAS status changed to:
In Process--->
1. We received your application for permanent residence on May 29, 2014.
2. We started processing your application on October 31, 2014.
3. Medical results have been received.

But officially, I did not get any mail from CPC-O requesting for PCC, MR, RPRF fee.
Now I am thinking, has i reached the medicals stage or still in PPR stage or not yet?

Is there any safe way we can assume our application status based on ECAS notes?
Please advise ..
'Reddy garu since u have already sent everthing, u did not get a rquest.

if u still have any doubts, u can send a case specific enquiry to NDVO. NDVO is quite fast in replying to queries.... NDVO does a great job inspite of having more than 50 percent of world wide applications.

Even CIC and NDVO are confused now. :P :o :o :o. their systems are hung because it is showing medical received when they did not even ask for it!!
On a serious note, I think you can wait for the official email to come and you can reply saying that these are already sent!
Or else you could just attach the copy of medical receipt / copy of DD / copies of PCC and send it along with the request letter!
