Finished sending the MR/ RPRF/ PCC stuff to NDVO!!! :)

Now the long indefinite wait for PPR starts :o :o :o :o

Am gearing up for a 4-6 month PPR wait looking at the rate at which NDVO is dishing out PPRs :(

Just hoping that NDVO doesnt go into a state of hibernation any time after EE starts next year!

So quick...
Good Luck btw.. :)

No you dont have to travel to Indai. Inform NDVO that for job reasons you are in USA hence request them to change the Visa office to USA(I believe its in New York). I knew this since my friend did the same last year.
Thanks a lot DSRK
So I am getting my medicals and PCC done here and my wife is getting the same done back in India.

Brothers...

One silly-billy question is wondering in my mind after joining PPR waiting club... :P :P :P :P :P

Is it advisable to RESIGN from the current company after done with sending MR, PCC and RPRF?? That is bcuz in my company 3 months compulsary notice period is there and I do have to follow that.

I know it's a personal decision to make but just wanted seniors' advice or experience of any forum member...

please help...!!

Dear

I would not suggest you that unless u are really RICH....

Hopefully u did medicals in OCT 2014....it means your PR landing will be valid til oct 2015...You have enough time to resign...Why hurry...Relax talk to your family and then decide..Mean while work and save money more,,,that would be needed in CANADA,,,,rest is upto u..

Dude, please don't do this! There is no harm in squeezing as much money as you can from your current employer ;D. You will still be having ample time after getting stamped with Visa on your PP. In the meantime, juice your employer :D.

Though i am not in this league yet (hopefully soon) but this makes sense as no one knows when he/she will be employed again.. Better save as much as you can!

Personally I think it would be a very bad decision. I would never put my money on a government process and bank on them to provide some service within a stipulated time. I see that one would need all the extra money for settlement in canada. So if the local VO takes an extra 2-3 months, one would have to either take back his/her resume resignation or stay jobless.

sep 2 applicant here, no cc charged. should I be worried? can i contact the CIC?

Hi People

I have a question around PCC.
I have stayed in South Africa in the past for more than 6 months.
I obtained my PCC from there but that PCC was issued 10 months ago, can I use the same PCC and send to NDVO. I am of the opinion that it should work because that PCC is for a fixed time period of 2008 -2010 and I never visited South Africa again, so it is as valid now as it was 10 months ago, so it should be acceptable.
However seniors please provide input if my understanding is wrong and I need another PCC from South Africa in the current date.
My another question is around paying the RPRF, what is the best mode of paying the fee online or the DD. If DD, should I make the DD in Rupees or in CAD? From my understanding the fee is $490, is that correct?

Thanks
