Hello Friends!

My medical request came in September 2014 and I got the medical done in Sweden in september. Made payment of RPRF via DD PCC and medical acknowledgement in First week of October 2014, however my third line is yet not updated. My Visa office is New Delhi.

I wanted to know if there is anybody else as well who is in same situation as I am.

I remember people preferring blue dart as the preferred courier service. I have had one bad experience with blue dart while sending a package to Maharastra. Want to ask the opinion of forumites once more before sending my documents.

But the thing is, my company is bit on strange side and it has been in our policy that after resign, I can not take any saved leave except Medicals..

You got some very good advice already not to resign so soon, regarding 90 days notification... you can adjust your 30 annual days paid leave from 90 and waive off half more if you are in good terms with your manager.

Hi People

I have a question around PCC.
I have stayed in South Africa in the past for more than 6 months.
I obtained my PCC from there but that PCC was issued 10 months ago, can I use the same PCC and send to NDVO. I am of the opinion that it should work because that PCC is for a fixed time period of 2008 -2010 and I never visited South Africa again, so it is as valid now as it was 10 months ago, so it should be acceptable.
However seniors please provide input if my understanding is wrong and I need another PCC from South Africa in the current date.
My another question is around paying the RPRF, what is the best mode of paying the fee online or the DD. If DD, should I make the DD in Rupees or in CAD? From my understanding the fee is $490, is that correct?

Ideally the PCC should be no less than 3 months old- so we assuming that it should be ok is not true. You should try and get a fresh PCC is you have the time- or if you have run out of time submit this one and in the cover letter mention that a fresh PCC can be sent on request.


Regarding RPRF- I paid it online and I guess its ok....But if you are paying via DD please make a INR DD - can someone please give details- I guess its 26,800 pP please corrct if I am wrong

Received MR, RPRF, PCC from NDVO today

Timelines -
PER - 8th Oct
2nd Line in ECAS - 21st Nov
MR, RPRF, PCC - 27th Nov

Waiting for UK PCC, just hope it comes on time.. in case I do not received PCC within 45 days can I submit the same later. My PCC application reached APRO on 19th Nov.

If you are credit, then I recommend you to go for 1212. But, please check this website before you prepare your JDs, your JDs need to be inline with what this website says. Hope it helps.

Hi Gaurav, call your hospital, when did they uploaded the info.
I got SMS from the hospital after 8-9 days of Physical that my results were sent to embassy.

I have following points:-

Age 36 years => 11-Points
IELTS => 18-Points
Experience NOC-0113 => 15-Points
--------------------------------------------------
Total of Above Points = 44-Points

For Education with ECA which is in my hands I might get either 21- or 22-points, needs clarification.

I have following degrees/certificates:-
1-BSC (14-Year schooling)
2-Diploma Electrical (14.5 Years Schooling)
3-MCS (16-Years Schooling)
4- MPhil/MBA (18-Years Schooling)

But WES issued me following ECA:-
1-My BSC = Canadian Two Years Diploma
2-My Electrical Diploma = Canadian Two Years Diploma
3-My MCS = Canadian 3-Years Bachelor Degree
4-My MPhil = Canadian 4-Years Bachelor Degree

With this ECA if I shall apply I shall get 21 or 22 points but in either case my total points will be either 65-point of 66-points.

I have already applied for another ECA from ICAS and I hope that I shall get it on approximately 25th of Jan, 2015 and I already made it sure that they will mention in my ECA my MPhil equal to Canadian Masters because some of my colleague who got same degree from the same university from where I am graduated got their MPhil equivalent to Canadian Masters from ICAS. So with this revised ECA I shall get 23-points and hence I shall have 67-points.

My question is that should I send my application to CIO now with this ECA which I already have and later on submit my new ECA from ICAS as addendum to my application to claim the 23-points? Whether CIC will accept it?

Because if I shall send my application now it might take around 90-100 days for CC to be charged. And prior to charging of CC I shall be able to send them revised ECA mentioning my MPhil equivalent to Canadian Master’s degree as per new ECA from ICAS.

(OR) CIC will not accept revised ECA from ICAS as addendum to my application?? Please comment. Should I send my application with Cover letter explaining that my MPhil is accepted as Canadian Masters by several Canadian Government Universities and Canadian Provincial Governments as well as by IQAS and ICAS and CES. And promise in that revised ECA is on the way? Do they consider this type of explanations and cover letter. Because I have evidence from the Government official portals of these Public Universities as well as Provincial Government website.

Can anyone please elaborate? Because I have appeared twice for IELTS exams to get better points but without any positive results. Therefore at the moment I have this option to send my application and till the turn for opening of my parcel of application will come, up to that time my revised ECA will be already in the CIO as addendum to my application.

Not really speed post is quite reliable for domestic and international as per my personal exp.
New Delhi --> New York 8-10 days cost was I think Rs 600.00
