brother
i did not get what u said, but
sending emedical proof is not mandatory. so, u should not care much about it. check your name, dob or address are correct or not is enough.
just for your reference, my ecas 3rd line update yesterday, while my receipt arrived Manila a few minutes ago.

I just would like to share my experience to encourage people who are planning to do without the consultant. I submitted my application on my own without help from anyone else except CIC website and this wonderful forum.

Since the day I submitted my application for ICAS (yes, I went for ICAS on mistake but it turned out wonderful.), I have been on this forum every single day reading all the questions and answers from the members. I take mental note of those important points and learn the process such as translation of documents etc.

There is no silly question on this forum as long as someone (ppl like me) learn from each other.

I try to contribute as much as I can for queries that I am confident to answer and will continue do so.

All the best to all of you. I am so glad that I have found this forum in this journey.

When you say weakest G7 state, what is your take? It's the smaller population for sure, and the smallest economy, but one of the highest GDP per person which should account for a high standard of living.

I've lived in France and could go back there - but in Paris you have to leave in a small apartment or a small house very far from downtown. Salaries are in general much lower then in other G7 countries. And in spite of every rumor everybody I know works a lot there - much more then 40h per week.
Renting an apartment without landlord references? Almost impossible.
Health quality? I have a collection of horror stories from there. Brazil has much better private health care then France and I can schedule an MRI for tomorrow morning if I want.

UK / London would pretty much be the same thing.
I would never live in Italy either, people are very rude over there.
Germany would be nice.
But by any standards Canada is a very nice place to live - the major downside is the weather.

Have you ever tried to schedule an MRI in Canada? How was your experience?

The GDP per capita is something that can be considered a determinant in a macroeconomics class. In real life income taxes in Canada amount to 40%. Sales tax in ON is 13% (almost twice as high as in FL). At the same time the infrastructure (roads, telecoms, etc) is pretty much unchanged since the 1970'. So, if you see the budget spendings, it would appear obvious that social sector is the BIG thing.

But in Ontario it takes several months on priority list and could be a year for a routine check in case of MRI. And since all doctors operate under provincial health insurance system, there are no commercial clinics where you can pay the fee and get it done next day, so people go to Buffalo, NY.

Why didn't you mention the States?

It was very interesting to learn about your experience in France. I sort of expected that Idefix originated from the Asterix cartoon :)

Yes! Idefix comes from Asterix :).

I've heard about the Buffalo connection related to shopping, I didn't know it extended to medical care too. Interesting but a bit concerning actually.

Why didn't I mention the States? Because it's a complicated issue and my post was already long :).
The quality of life is high, incomes are higher then in Canada, taxes a bit lower.
Housing is very expensive, interest rates a bit higher.
But as a society they have a lot of issues right now:
- A bit part of the society doesn't like immigrant at all; racism is much higher then in Canada (Ferguson? WTF??);
- They can't seem to agree on an immigration policy; they even have illegal jails on the border that had several innocents in the last years;
- Green Card is a 5 year journey at least - and that's because I have a Masters;
- Violence is much higher - partially related to low spendings on Social Sector;

...and on and on. We'll discuss this over a couple of beers in a few months :)

Don't get me wrong: I would gladly live in France, US, Germany, UK... but after carefully looking at them, I think Canada has a better fit for me.

Regarding the "Real Canada" you mentioned earlier: people can't expect to go to Canada, find that everything is perfect, jobs are easy and pay a lot, houses are cheap.... If you can't find a job at your home country, chances are you are probably going to have a hard time finding jobs in Canada too.

If you are very good at what you do back home, then your chances increase a lot. I expect to find a very qualified job market, a lot of competition - and that's one of the big selling points for me. I find it much better to work with very competent people.

Hello Friends,

I had applied for FSW Category 2132 as single applicant in July-2014 but I got married in August. Now I have received my PER on 21-11-2014

Can anybody please advice me about further procedure?? As per my understanding I have to raise a CSE.

If someone have same experience, Please suggest what forms and supporting document they can ask. Also can I send these documents directly to VO office (New Delhi) or I have to wait for their reply to my CSE.

Your information/suggestions/views are welcome.

All the best to all of you.

Thanks a lot in advance.
