Hello !

I received my Medical in Sept 2014 and sent the RPRF Fee PCC and Medical acknowledgement in second week of Oct 2014. Novemeber is gone and my third line is still not updated. I had sent email to NDVO however no response as such. Just an email to register with CIIP Program.

Is it a matter of concern or may be just need to wait more. I am concerned coz most of the people's third line is updated and ours is not. Please suggest.

There seems to be lot of confusion around NOC 4011’s letter of reference. CIC suggests the following
Letter must include all of the following information:
• The specific period of your employment with the company
• The positions you have held during the period of employment and the time spent in each position
• Your main responsibilities and duties in each position
• Your total annual salary plus benefits in each position
• The number of hours worked per week in each position
Letter must be:
• written on company letterhead,
• signed by the responsible officer/supervisor,
• show company's full address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and website addresses,
• stamped with the company's official seal (if applicable)

Hence all above details should be included further for main responsibilities following details should be added
• How many courses are you teaching?
• At what level? Undergraduate or Post graduate?
• Research papers
• All other administrative tasks you do like student counselling, examinations checking, course allocation, lab work, work in different committees etc

Further I had attached copy of all my payslips, promotion letters, appraisal letters and appointment letters.

FYI NOC 4011 job repossibilities are as follows
University professors and lecturers perform some or all of the following duties:
• Teach one or more university subjects to undergraduate and graduate students
• Prepare and deliver lectures to students and conduct laboratory sessions or discussion groups
• Prepare, administer and grade examinations, laboratory assignments and reports
• Advise students on course and academic matters and career decisions
• Direct research programs of graduate students and advise on research matters
• Conduct research in field of specialization and publish findings in scholarly journals or books
• May serve on faculty committees dealing with such matters as curriculum planning and degree requirements, and perform a variety of administrative duties
• May represent their universities as speakers and guest lecturers
• May provide professional consultative services to government, industry and private individuals.

Hence it’s better to add as much details as possible (Better to be safe than sorry)

hear hear.... 31 July DD Applicant

After gaining a lot from this forum... I think now its time to contribute...
I was having a serious anxiety problem (fear of NER/returned application)... Was treating it for the last couple of days...

Received PER e-mail from CIO about 4-5 hours ago (just checked my inbox) just when I got over my anxiety problem...
DD encashed on 12 November...

Few points from my experience: -

1) If you are from Pakistan, issuance of birth certificate from NADRA is a piece of cake... just go to the relevant municipality/union council and you can get it in a couple of days... Birth Certificates are very important...

2) My National Id Card (CNIC) and Child Registration Certificate (CRC) were not in english... I got them translated by an oath commisioner himself... Got photocopies and translations notarized... Also, I submitted one affidavit for each translated document... I think NADRA Smart Card and FRC can be used in place of CNIC and CRC respectively...

3) Wrote a detailed cover letter explaining every little bit that could be wrongly interpreted e.g. I provided proof of funds in PKR/USD, converted them to CAD according to rate mentioned on Bank of Canada website on the day of writing cover letter and explained it to them in the cover letter.


My VO is London... don't think they will send AOR... should I update my status as PER received or processing started?

Oh... who am I kidding... I don't even know how to update SS... Will try to figure it out first...

Hi i am 2171 applicant reaching time 24th sept I see this cap has reached. My question is are caps counted with PER's or comppletness check . I know CIC checks a month ahead and then gives it for charging. would 24th Sept 2171 be in the cap or am i out

CAP counts with completeness check.

Did you check with your Physician when did he uploaded your medical ? Did you had any previous medical history ?
What I suspect is they might have put your medical under Review, and that why you haven't seen update on ECAS. Check with your doctor whether everything in your Medical report was ok or not or they might have misplaced your Medical file. I am telling you one of the possible reasons. But surely nothing to worry about. See what reply you get from VO, and proceed further from there.

I searched their site but only found this address ( question @ cic.gc.ca ) that replied automatically that I should contact through the website, where I didn't find any other Email address.
