Yes, In most cases .. exceptions could be that your DD is on its way to encash.

May 12th applicant. Sent my Medicals and RPRF & PCC by oct 2nd week. Haven't heard back from CIC ever since. My status has been updated to Received Medicals. I have sent 3 or 4 emails and haven't heard back from CIC. Am starting to get worried. Any advice? I got my PR on Sept 23rd.

Relax nothing to worry about, and stop emailing them over and over again. It might raise suspicious. Calm down & wait till you get PPR.

Hello all - I would like to share the news from my side. I got PER mail from CIC today and would like to thanks everybody here for helping me on each step.

Details for my applications are:
1. Application Date: 31st July
2. CC Charged: 7th Nov
3. PER mail received: 25th Nov
4. NOC: 2171

However, inspite of this great news, I would like to get the input on one of the issues that I am coming across. Request all the experts on this forum for the helping hand.

Problem is: My Passport is getting expired in Sept, 2015. And with the pace, I think it will take another 2-3 months for the complete process. And as I understand, I would be getting the VISA for one year or until Passport expiry date (whatever is early). Also, we have a fact that we cannot travel for the six months prior to Passport expiration and we need to go for its re-newel process. Therefore, I will be in problem in Jan-Feb because of this scenario. Please help me if I should get the passport renewed asap before the MR and how shall I update CIC for this change. On the Application Status site for CIC, I only see the option for changing the mailing address and nothing to contact them in case of other problems.

PLEASE SUGGEST ASAP!

You can send additional document in a labeled envelop " Additional Documents for application submitted on mm/dd/yyyy" to cio. Make a cover letter and state your concern and give as much as info of your original application.

Also send an email on the day your new courier is delivered with the details of same and send a copy of your cover letter and new form in the email

If your status is updated to Medicals Received then its mean you passed your medical and you are in PPR queue.

Sure Goku. just worried if it reached them or not as they are not acknowledging it/ replying.

They don't acknowledge RPRF fee. If you send draft then you can check it with your bank. Do not send any more emails as it takes them 40-45 days to reply back.

After gaining a lot from this forum... I think now its time to contribute...
I was having a serious anxiety problem (fear of NER/returned application)... Was treating it for the last couple of days...

Received PER e-mail from CIO about 4-5 hours ago (just checked my inbox) just when I got over my anxiety problem...
DD encashed on 12 November...

Few points from my experience: -

1) If you are from Pakistan, issuance of birth certificate from NADRA is a piece of cake... just go to the relevant municipality/union council and you can get it in a couple of days... Birth Certificates are very important...

2) My National Id Card (CNIC) and Child Registration Certificate (CRC) were not in english... I got them translated by an oath commisioner himself... Got photocopies and translations notarized... Also, I submitted one affidavit for each translated document... I think NADRA Smart Card and FRC can be used in place of CNIC and CRC respectively...

3) Wrote a detailed cover letter explaining every little bit that could be wrongly interpreted e.g. I provided proof of funds in PKR/USD, converted them to CAD according to rate mentioned on Bank of Canada website on the day of writing cover letter and explained it to them in the cover letter.


My VO is London... don't think they will send AOR... should I update my status as PER received or processing started?

Oh... who am I kidding... I don't even know how to update SS... Will try to figure it out first...
