Operational Bulletin 572 – April 29, 2014

Ministerial Instructions: Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades and Canadian Experience Class Applications

Summary

Effective May 1, 2014, a maximum of 25,500 new Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) applications without an offer of arranged employment (including 500 applications in the PhD student/graduate stream), 5,000 new Federal Skilled Trades (FST) applications, and 8,000 new Canadian Experience Class (CEC) applications will be considered for processing for the period of May 1, 2014, until April 30, 2015, unless otherwise indicated in a future Ministerial Instruction. Applications must be completeFootnote 1 and included within the caps set for each program to be considered for processing.

Goku, I was also saying the same thing till yesterday, but the new update is very clear. New ministerial instruction might be issued soon to cut short FSW2014.

Refer http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp.

Note: As of May 1, 2014, there is an overall cap of 25,500 for new federal skilled worker applications. This includes a cap of 500 applications from PhD students. There is no cap for applicants with a qualifying job offer.

Important:

These are the last applications we will accept under the current system before Express Entry launches in January 2015.
Within the 25,000 applications, we will only accept 1,000 in each priority occupation.
CIC will return any applications received on or after May 4, 2013 that do NOT include the necessary Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) or do not meet the minimum language threshold requirements.
Sending more than one application does not increase your chances of being accepted for permanent residence. All eligible applications received before January 1st will be considered for processing based on current guidelines. Fees will be charged for each one.

Guys,

May 12th applicant. Sent my Medicals and RPRF & PCC by oct 2nd week. Haven't heard back from CIC ever since. My status has been updated to Received Medicals. I have sent 3 or 4 emails and haven't heard back from CIC. Am starting to get worried. Any advice? I got my MR Request on Sept 23rd.
