Acceptable are from Police commissioner office or PSK.

there can be issues if it is issued from local poilice station (though nobody reported that it is not acceptable)

Also few observations :

1. If it's wrong practice then why local police station is accepting applications for PCC..??

2. On CIC website it has been clearly mentioned that PCC can be applied through local town police station for INDIA.

3. Just besides of these lines in the bracket it has been mentioned that "Also, one can get PCC from PSK".

Bro...not contradicting ur personal observation...just wondering...

In India you can obtain the PCC (police clearance certificate) through 2 separate channels

1- From the Commissioner of Police. Local police stations would just route your application to the Commissioner's office. The validity of the PCC obtained from the police station is less, typically 3 months

2- From the Passport office/PSK....the validity of the PCC would be one year

Both PCC's are acceptable for immigration purpose. But typically, most of the people opt for PCC from the passport office

Hope that clears the doubts.

Hi friends ,
I have a doubt.... the timeline for PER is said to be 90-120 days from the day of filing... As per the latest CIC update, four hot NOC s have been capped. So I'm wondering, now as they have more personnel working for the remaining NOCs, is there any chance for which that PER timeline ll get reduced?????
Myself September 24 applicant for NOC 2132

congrats bhai..

plus 1 to u..

wish k sab applicants ki PER lag jaeey yahan.. :D

Best of luck all of you. The forum proves the power of many. We all almost exactly know when what is going to happen more than probably the CIC themselves.

Dear Farja,

You don't need to worry that you didn't mention visa office. According to CIC staff's work manual they are instructed to write the name of the appropriate visa office if an applicant doesn't write it or misses it. If you make any other mistake then you can worry.
Thanks Raisa for your reply. I did also forget to write the name on fee payment from. Payment method DD.

Dear Canol, Diplomatru and any other senior,

I am in a very strange situation and in real need for your honest help.

Today, I received PER email and discovered that my last name has a spelling mistake. I thought it is a typing mistake and the name will be correct in their records. So I tried using the correct last name to login ECAS but it did not work, then I tried the mistaken one and suddenly, it worked.

What do you guys suggest me to do?

BR
Amjad

wait till you get per and your application is transferred to your vo. Then write to them with a cse and attaching the ID proof, ie. passport copy so that vo can take care and correct the mistake.
