See, even though you got charged one day after me you still got your PER under the 10 day frame , CIC knows they cannot mess around with one of the most influential members of our community

On topic of your new blog entry, since many people have expressed their pessimism with the extreme winters in Canada, could you share your advice on surviving Canadian winters especially up north (Calgary, Edmonton, etc.)?

Hi i am june 17 applicant.i was charged on 8th oct but still not received PER.Kindly help.i have send mail to cic regarding status

May be you don't provide correct email Id where they can send PER or sometime emails are undeliverable.. so they send PER by post that can take some time.. if you have UCI no check your status online on ECAS.if it is showing in process n we have received your application on xyz date..that means u file has been approved and transferred to VO. If you dont have UCI no. Call CIC call center n take from them.. Good luck

Hi Diplomat, Palak and other senior members in a group,

I would like to confirm about the proof of funds. Employee provident fund could be shown as proof of funds or not or if somebody in the group has received per or more who showed Employee Provident Fund as proof of funds.

Unfortunately, it won't be considered. POF requires easily transferable money, and EPF can not be withdrawn until a person reaches pension age, afaik.

Dont worry Bhavin, its like sooner or later, DD is going to charge, and doesnt that matter really for any one, if Final Stage VISA - gets a week or 2 delayed than of CC, i dont think so. Ultimate goal is the reach Maple Land before caps close.

It is really hard to understand what is wrong with DD. I really not able to digest the fact with DD candidate misfortune..

Diplomat but you can withdraw your provident fund once you leave the job from the current company. I have already sent the application on 10th Nov and showed EPF of about 1.5 lacs. Now any suggestion you can give how i can proceed further. AS i have attached the letter on company's letterhead stating that if employee leaves the company can withdrawn his or her EPF anytime. Please suggest if something can be done about it.

I have attached a self affidavit like this.

DECLARATION
I, Xman son of xxxxxx do hereby that I lost my birth certificate issued by municipal authority. My secondary mark sheet certificate containing date of birth issued by Council for Indian School Certificate Exams, New Delhi is based on the school record where I had submitted birth certificate copy duely verified with original during my admission to school. As a proof of ‘date of birth' I am submitting this certificate issued by Council for Indian School Certificate Exams, New Delhi. Please consider my case and accept the secondary mark sheet certificate as a date of birth proof.

Ideally you need an affidavit backed by SSC Certificate which mentions your DOB and Father's name (either of the 2 or both).

If the School Certificate does not mention your father's name (at the least) then you should mention ALL details relevant to your birth (DOB/Parent's Name etc) in the affidavit.

I do not see you mentioning you Father's name and the DOB in your affidavit (correct me if I am wrong) and based on this, my suggestion will be a new affidavit with the relevant info sent ASAP to CIC as an additional document.

EDIT: Sorry I missed the part of your affidavit where you have indeed mentioned your father's name. Have you also mentioned your DOB in the affidavit ?

My application reached Aug 27 and the DD has not yet been encashed. In your analysis by when do you think will CIC encash the DD. The DD was issued from a local bank in Canada.

I'm anxiously looking forward to the DD encashment and PER.

Operations manual urges service delivery agents to acknowledge BC with no name + secondary school record as complete BC for Indian applicants. But, sometimes the 'unwritten rules' prevail over the written ones. Of that I have no knowledge of. You have to find an applicant with same prerequisites to know what happens in this case.
