i have also sent an email yesterday regarding my medical results so don't know how much time will they take

No worries as may be they will select you for an orientation session, infact it is for newcomers from CIC and it would be given by NDVO.......!

I too received this email from NDVO today morning..my 3rd line was updated with " Mediacals received" last week Tuesday though. I thought the back ground checks already been done or waived. But in the mail it says as below:

"You, your spouse and your working age dependents become eligible to participate in CIIP when you are completing the application process for a Canadian immigration visa, usually at the stage where you have been requested to undergo your medical examinations, and security and background checks have been initiated. Please be aware that being eligible for, or actually participating in an orientation session, is not a guarantee or an indicator that your immigration application will ultimately be successful or that you will receive an immigrant visa. "

Does that mean we need to undergo medicals again. I am confused....or is this an indication of PPR is nearby!!!any idea guys...please advise.

Hi seniors ,
I am in problem ,I need yr help ..I have drawn HDFC bank DD (INR 8200)from my account in favour of CANADIAN HIGH COMMOSSION payable at New Delhi ....I have send all documents of new born along with this dd on 06 NOV 2014 ....
My ECAS second line updated ....it showing we have started processing yr application on 13 NOV 2014 ...till now I haven't received any MR mail ...
when I call HDFC bank and made enquiry whether my dd encased or not ....
They said we don't know such information ...I went HDFC bank and ask customer desk personal ..he said we are not having such information ..we just provide details of your transaction ...
How can I confirm whether it is cleared or not ?

Hi SKynt,

You can find the status of the DD easily by calling the customer care people.
Once you call the customer Care use the options that talk about the Demand Draft there you log a request for the status of the DD give them the DD number the beneficiary and the date if possible and they will get back to the SLA is 48 Hrs.

If you go to the bank where you took the DD and ask the person who gave you the DD he should be able to see the status right away on the screen and also get finer details about the transaction by connecting to their team in chennai back office.

Also the thing is since this is local check i mean (india) the DD should be associated with your savings account and you can see the status their as well i have never used that feature so far but i think we can see the status.

I told the options cause i followed up with the cashier who gave me DD for CAD 1100 in similar way and he used to call me once in awhile or respond too my queries over phone.

The strange part is the PER email mentions my DD was en-cashed on 6th November and the bank fellow (cashier) confirmed it was en-cashed on 18th November.

We have old passports and new passports.
Alongwith our application, do we have to furnish copies of only new passports or copies of old passports are also necessary.
CIC guidelines say - valid passports.

Hi still I will recommend you to send the photocopies of both with your app, as did the same because as per my understanding, point 8 of document check list says PASSPORTS OR TRAVEL DOCUMENTS OF YOU, YOUR SPOUSE........bla bla... So I sent photocopies of cancelled and valid pp as well. For safer side you can send both, there is no harm.

If you not have saved the edit link at the time of making entry for the first time....now u cant...
easy way is make one more entry with same name and in the remarks request admin to delete old one...there go bro...cheers

I do think it doesnt hurt to send copies of both the passports if you have visa and landing details that would be a counter proof of the same.
So send the copies of both the passport not just be cause i did ... i felt they want us to disclose details and see for themselves and we can do when we are right.

Hello All,

If you observe then we found that many applicant who sent the missing documents to attach it to the new one has been considered and worked out for quiet a few i think so it does work and i am happy to see that happening.

Cause i think people dont do anything purposely and it happens that we miss out things cause we are trying focus on sending it to so that we can make it into the CAP (specially people applied last year for FSW13)
