Hi everyone! i just want to share my story:

1st application: returned on September 7 per CIO SYDNEY email response. Due to INCOMPLETE APPLICATION. i swear to God I have provided all the documents to my consultant MASSOOD JOOMRATTY LAW CORP (Pinoys2Canada sattelite office in the Philippines).

To date, Consultant does not provide updates even if negative already. All of us clients have no PER yet

2nd application: filed this November. DIY. With the help of this forum.

moral of the story: Never trust a so- called "consultant" even if you pay for a hefty price of a service which could have probably helped you lessen stress and time-effort. Sadly,it was too late when I discovered this forum from my first application. DIY and help from fellow forum members are more helpful and money-saving.

Thanks to all!

+1 for sharing your story and good luck with new app!

Every Photocopy Must be attested as per Guide 7000

"Certified true copies

To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:

“I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”,
the name of the original document,
the date of the certification,
his or her name,
his or her official position or title, and
his or her signature.

Who can certify copies?

Persons authorized to certify copies include the following:

In Canada:

a commissioner of oaths (authority to certify varies by province and territory)
a notary public
a justice of the peace

Outside Canada:

a judge
a magistrate
a notary public
an officer of a court of justice
a commissioner authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the person is living
Family members may not certify copies of your documents."

Where exactly the above paragraph quoted from Guide 7000 state that ALL photocopies needs to be notarised????

The above text is the continuation of paragraph Translation of documents as below and it clearly state that any document which is not in English and French requires a certified copy of original document (in bullet 3) :

Translation of documents
Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:
- the English or French translation; and
- an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
- a certified copy of the original document.
Note: An affidavit is a document on which the translator has sworn, in the presence of a commissioner
authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the translator is living, that the contents of their
translation are a true translation and representation of the contents of the original document. Translators who
are certified members in good standing of one of the provincial or territorial organizations of translators and
interpreters of Canada do not need to supply an affidavit.
Important information. Translations by family members are not acceptable.

Certified true copies
To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the
photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:
“I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”,
the name of the original document,
the date of the certification,
his or her name,
his or her official position or title, and
his or her signature.

So I had got my medicals done last week wherein there was a slight chest infection (cough patch) detected in my Chest X-ray. They uploaded my results and NDVO got back to me today and has asked me to do further additional tests to rule out TB.

I have to go 3 consecutive days to the DMP and give my spit samples, which will be incubated for 6-8 weeks.

After that I will have to get a repeat Chest X-ray done 3 months from today (February 2015)

All these results will be reviewed by a pulmonologist or respiratory physician in February 2015 to rule out TB.

So, in short, my PPR is delayed atleast until February 2015 :( :( :(

Anyone else here who has faced the same issue???

*Blank* *Worried*

Hey +1 to pull you through the wait. There's already a thread which will give you lots of information on sputum /T.B test and applicant's experiences who have gotten their visa(s) and have already landed.
Hope it'll comfort you by giving you more info.
