No, I applied through Consultant. They had their own lawyer living in Canada. While Canadian lawyer had a visit to consultancy, I had asked him about it. And he said no need to keep that information about spouse.

Is there any solution to come out from this problem?

Thank you.

First of all, I'm by no means a lawyer or expert on Canadian Immigration. What I'm saying is just from reading other member's experiences from the forum and other blogs.

Maybe your lawyer was right and they really don't check any background and I'm just getting you nervous.

But since they have your wife's full name, date of birth, country of origin, if they want they can easily find her old application. And they may wonder why you didn't say anything. It's not background checking, it's on their system already.

Your application is from the end of July, so it is quite late to send a correction. I'd say you can contact your consultant and ask him to send an e-mail to CIC... or just wait and see. You will now in about two-three weeks time.

I used a lawyer myself, but I questioned them on several issues and made some changes on my application thanks to this wonderfull forum.

Refer http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#eg74

"Place the barcode page(s) on the top of your application (forms and supporting documents) when you submit it."

I didn't put this barcode page on top but it was in generic form of the back page.

Thank you very much for your information. Yes I will wait for couple of weeks and see whether I will receive PER or not.

But I am in doubt that will CIC be looking over this kind of issue or will they just do completeness check and send PER without looking over these things and sent file to visa office. And visa officer will decide on what to do.
