My current company merged with other and we due to change company brand. We are asked to sign new contracts with new brand name and conditions. It will be in force from 1st January. We also received an email asking to update profiles on linked-in to show new company as current employer. But people, office address, telephones all stay the same. My file already in VO. How can I update this info with VO? Send a cover letter or copy of new contract? First pay slip with new company letter head will be only at the end of January.

Those living in Canada,

Can someone tell me how easy it is to access Indian food in cities like Toronto, Calgary or Vancouver?

And how easy it is to access healthy food like Salads, Sandwich or Sushi? etc. (Not burgers and fries)

I'm asking because I've heard that fast food / fried foods are generally easy to find in US but stuff like Sandwich is generally difficult!

Brothers..

pl help.

I am confused abt PCC (Gujarat).

How should I apply for PCC for me and spouse.

Somebody is saying to apply through local town police station which will be issued within week.

Some one told that first get PCC from town police station and then apply to PSK.

How should I apply ...pl help me to understand. ??? ??? :-\ :-\

Thank you bros ..

Mate, I am not that much experienced but would like to inform you that, I was in a same dilemma when I was about to submit the application.

So I consulted one agent for the confirmation, what he suggested me that if you are applying for CANADA then both the PPCs are accepted. That is one issued by Town Police as well as issued by Passport Seva Kendra. But if you are applying for US than you must get it issued from Passport Seva Kendra only.

Also checkout the link for more detailed info.

Seniors can correct me if I am wrong.

Hope this is helpful to you.

Apply online on passport office with chossing near by PSK (Passport seva kendra), get the date of appointment by paying 500 Rs as fees, be presence at time and submit document as asked. After that you will get call from near by police station for verification. after this u will get sms from PSK for collection of PCC, go with your passport. they will stamp your passport and then give you 2 copies of PCC in original. Person who apply for PCC must visit PSK both time.

All the best

As you get PER, the status should say "We received your application on XXXXX"
As you get MR, it should say "We started processing your application on XXXXX"
As your You pass medicals and submit RPRF and PCC, it should say "Medicals have been received"
As you get Passport stamped, it should say "A Decision has been made, your visa office will contact you soon"

Hope this helps for future as well :)

@ PSK, they make a stamp on PP as well for Police clearance
That will not be done, if you go directly to Police station.

So advisable, get one from PSK, Have u booked ur appointment ?
its Ahmedabad dear too busy these days

I have done some research and I am aware of "little India" in Gerrard St.
I am looking more from general point of view. Like here in London, there is an Indian restaurant in almost every street. Even supermarktets like Tesco sell ready to eat curry with rice etc.
Plus there are lots of healthy salad, wrap and sandwich options available pretty much everywhere!

For predictions you need to contact some or prediction baba :P

Many times it is difficult to understand how CIC is working... if we observe recently they issued MRs to applicats uptill mid June and again started from first week of June to cover pending applications . In your case I would advise you to write to NDVO to inquire about your application.

In my limited knowledge there may be few factor which may delay the application process

Compexities of applications
Verification required.
delay in verification reports
Work load with the officer handelling particular NOC
Approval required from some senior authority etc. etc.

So ....No news is a good news...... therefore till then stay calm and write to NDVO to enquire about the status.

Wish you good luck for further process

Thanks Vind Bhai

I already raised CSE and got a reply that background checks are going on.

Intact I know close to 50 people with same status as mine from NDVO who got the same rply as we have a whatsapp group.

Now the point is how much can be the waiting time.

Intact I see there on the SS that a huge number has not even got second line.

This scenario is doing nothing but only confusing back benchers like me.

Please comment as this would surely help the second liner group.

Cheers

my pleasure.

best of luck arsalan. :)

I read someone mentioned first apply for PCC and then apply PSK. What is PSK?

I have received my PCC from Indian high commission and soon I'll get UK PCC so is that enough or do I need to get PSK?

Dear Jason,

Gerrand street is also the same, walk down the whole street 50 indian/pakistani small/big restaurants are there for your welcome :)
