On the CSE page there's an option of File # ; is it the same what we get as the Application # in the PER email or the File # is something different that one gets later after PER?

"Guys! I have a small query. Has anybody successfully checked his/her ECAS status using the Receipt number?

I had paid my RPRF onling using my credit card. I got a recipt for the same and with the receipt number mentioned on top of it. According to the ECAS site I can check my status using my Receipt number as well. But when I search using the receipt that I have it says nothing found.

If I search using my UCI number the status is "In Process" with three lines, last line being "Medicals Received". Last line got update on 7th November

How can I confirm that my RPRF has been received by the VO? I am slightly tense about this. Please let me know guys."

Oh my friend,
RPRF receipt number is not the number to check your status on ECAS.
You have to send the Copy of receipt to your Visa office by Email or Fax and even by Snail Mail.
Please include all your full details incliuding Name, DOB, UCI number etc in the corrospondence.

Time really depends on which country you are from. I would say for India, It is around 2 - 2.5 months (subject to customs and international mail clearance). Returned apps are sent through Canadian Post

How about your POF -- what did you show.. is it commensurate with your income/ savings over the past 3+ yrs ?

It looks like, there is not even a single Passport request from CPC-O for last one month.

I wish CPC-O will ask for Passports this week... :'(

You are right, File number is the same one which you receive in your PER email.

MONEY ORDER OUT OF DATE

Just received the e-mail below from the bank that issued my money order. My app was received on July 31st, NOC 0911 and according to the spreadsheet I should have been already encashed. ??? ??? ???

Now I am starting to get really worriied

After contacting our processing department, the money order is still outstanding that means the " receiver general" did not receive the chq, and it has not been cashed.

If you want the money returned to you or to make another chq you would have to sign a "bond of indemnity" that is a document that says if at some point the first money order is cashed after we replace it then you will be responsible for the amount.


Let me know if this is all the info you need.

Urgent Help Required..!
i have received a mail from LVO and i need help in answering them back.

"Proof of settlement funds.
Please submit certified copies of your bank statements, showing incoming and outgoing transactions, including your current salary, for the last 6 months, providing explanations for any large transactions."

Question 1 (certified copies) : Isn't the official statement from bank enough? I mean how/& from where should i get it certified ??

"Work experience documents.
You must submit a job description and a reference endorsed by your present employer on company letterhead"

Question 2 (reference): I already provided one initially. So, do they require a different one or what? JD, company's letterhead and a stamp/sign from HRD? is that what 'reference' means? its a bit unclear. Can anybody assist ?

I received today the email requesting to pay the RPRF and also the Passport Request.
I already paid the fees and I'll send our passports tomorrow.

Timeline:
NOC: 3142
Application date: June 30th
CC Charged: October 15th
PER: October 27th
RPRF and Passaport Request: November 17th
RPRF payment: Nov 17th
Application sent from - Toronto/ON
VO: SP - Brazil

Obs: We didn't receive MR because we have done it in April (2014) for our temporary work permit visa.
