Hey everyone thanks again for all the information

I am just finishing up my application but have a few doubts .. I am a single unmarried applicant without any dependents and I'm not using a representative.

1) The Additional Dependents/Decleration (IMM 0008DEP) is not applicable to me. So in the document checklist , in the place where I am suppose to put the tickmark, should I leave it blank or should I write "NA" or "Not Applicable"??

2) If I am not using a representative should I attach a copy of the IMM 5476 form with my details, or should I write NA or leave that section blank in the document checklist?

3) Proof of Admission/ Letter of Attestation(PHD)/ Arranged Employment and Proof of Relationship are also not applicable to me. Should I just leave them unticked? or write NA or Not Applicable?

4) Lastly If I am not sending my police certificate and clearance with my application. Do I need to give a reason or should I just send the application in without it and wait for them to ask for it?

Thanks again everyone! My application is almost done, just waiting on my letter of employment and the draft to be made. Hopefully all gonna be ready by the end of this week!

You can if you are on work visa in USA and not b1/b2! Write to cic with cc to Cpc Ottawa and ndvo and as per law of the land India it is illegal to post passport not advisable!

Hi,

I do have the same scenario. And i am planning to take the footsteps of my friend who faced similar scenario in 2013.

Steps to be followed:

Once NDVO requests you to submit passport, you can email them back saying ' you live in United states for job reasons hence you wont be able to submit the passport hence ask them to change the Visa office to New york( i believe) once the decision has been made."

Once thats done they will notify you via email and newyork office takes generally 2 weeks to return the passport.
