Friends from India,
Need you help. For the circumstances I find myself in, I know I need to do my own thinking and I will.
But could you please PM me with your perspectives so that I can make an informed and we ll thought out decision?

I have a globally ranked MBA from the UK (25th rank global Financial Times ranking of worldwide MBA programs, ironically 2 positions higher than IIMA PGPX) but could not make the most out of it as the B-school brand so reputed in the UK does not directly translate to Indian MBA career scenarios. In the hope to have a jump start in my career, I applied to IIMA PGPX and have an admit offer but a second MBA appears to be an overkill specifically given the costs (fee of 25 lacs plus opportunity cost of not working = 15 lacs).

And I have not wanted anything so desperately as I want a Canadian PR. Even if I get a PR, it would of course be a tough ask to find an interesting career but I am very much willing to put in all the effort and get thru' any difficulties. But the IIMA offer has become to good to resist as I can get to a better position and pay grade with an Indian employer and travel abroad on work may be 2 years from now.

I am 35, and work in IT (SAP consulting) for an Indian MNC. Have worked in 2 EU countries (an year each) but feel that I am way behind people of similar age group in India in terms career accomplishments and the level of business leadership roles/positions held. There is no option to defer my admit offer and if I take it with the resulting liabilities I won't be able to fulfill proof of funds requirements.

I am almost inclined towards chasing the Canadian dream but am open to weigh pros and cons.
Thanks a lot for your help and as always you guys and girls rock :)

Look forward to receiving your inputs and as we share the same dream of making a life in Canada, I thought you guys are in the best position to understand and help me.

Best regards,
Kishcanada

Its your call and no one's view should influence your decision.
As for me, I am ready to leave behind my well set life in India to start a new life and initial struggle in Canada. Its an individual choice which you need to make and no one else.

Many congrats and best wishes for the process ahead :)

+1

I dont take anything personally......
However where are the facts dear..... who is the person who got the medical same day his file received by ndvo. I think no one knows the file receipt date for NDVO this year. Get your facts correct budy, you were earlier giving facts for saying that online rprf is not valid.......
You are saying at one instance that iy is your point of view and at another instance that this is based on facts.....

I was giving facts for online RPRF.. If you see the posts clearly, I have quoted from few posts from 2013 where it was said online RPRF is not valid. This is the reason for raising the doubt, the fact here are these contrary posts in which it was said confidently that online is not valid', to find out the correctness the only way was some kind of official response. And it was resolved that way, and no one can now have questions.

You can see the second line in ECAS, that is the day when processing starts. Count the days between that and MR request U will know what I'am saying, also have a look at few posts from Y'day about MR and second line.

Whenever I'am not confident, it is my point of view... Hope you get it now, and remember do not point at others....
I never start anything personally against you, so maintain that respect in the forum. Do not accuse or belittle others.

I've sent you my FB id via PM. Kindly add me on to the FB group.

Cheers!!

After a long wait of 108 days I finally got my MR, PCC, RPRF request and passport bio-pages request.
I also got an invitation to attend the CIIP Program.

App rcvd: 13th May
CC Charged: 12th August
PER: 22nd August
MR: 7th October (the wait killed me...108 friggin days!!) Moral of the story - Patience is virtue, never lose hope ;)
ECAS 2nd line Updated on 5th October that they started processing my app on 3rd October
NDVO
NOC - 1112

A quick Q - Do we need to write our name, uci, appn # etc on the rear side of the RPRF demand draft?

Have any of the members got done their Medicals at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai? Mind reviewing the process and experience please?

Cheers!!

Congratulations ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Patience is

thanks for the quick reply CanOI. do u have any idea about what type of tests they will do?

Just physical tests for toddlers I presume. No blood test and x-ray test for sure.
