Dear Forumites,

My friend got his PER today, some of the learning that I would like to share.

1) He showed his relationship with his Maternal Uncle who resides in Canada, but he did not have Birth Certificates neither of his mother nor his uncle to prove this relationship so he used Higher School Certificate of his uncle and Marriage Certificate of his parents to show common father and common residential address. Furthermore, he also sent photos of his mother marriage to show his uncle along with family. To cut the long story short, you can send secondary proves to proof your relationship.

2) He had sent two experience letters. Both letters were on company letter head but neither business card of the relevant manager or pay slip was attached, this means no supporting document was present.

His personal assessment suggested 67points, including points from proof of relationship and points from both the experience letters. He received his PER which was never possible if CIC hadn't considered both of these parameters.

Brother I am also 7th Aug. Applicant and no one can check their status without UCI or file number. Wait for your payment to be charged and getin your number than only you will be able to find any updation.

By the way one question from my side if someone can answer

How much time it takes for your application to be returned if its rejected and what is the approximate date for the completeness checks.

Wait until the local VO contacts you and then send a case-specific enquiry stating that you are expecting the baby. The VO will let you know what you should do. You'll have to add your baby to the application but it's not a problem.

Not a problem at all. YOu only need to live in Canada for 2 out of 5 years after landing to be able to maintain and renew PR. So both of you or your wife alone can move there three years after landing if your wish without any negative consequence. Anyways, you cannot exclude your wife from the application. Even if you choose your wife as non-accompanying the MR and PCC ARE required for her as well. Like I said, there is absolutely NOTHING you need to do at this moment, just get PR for both, complete the landing within the visa validity and then move to Canada within the next 3 years.

had one more question.
In her scholarship terms and conditions, there is a clause that she cannot change her citizenship/residency status during the scholarship period. So, I thought if it is possible to issue a visa only for me this time and issue for her after two years.
