Hello friends,

I have got admission in one of the top B-school of Canada. My classes will start in January first week. Now, I have some typical queries regarding online application for study visa. My questions are as below;

1. Which visa processing way is faster? online or paper ?
2. How much maximum time it take for study visa ?
3. The checklist I received on MyCIC login for study visa does not include any option to upload my TOEFL scores. Is it ok ?
4. As my MBA course is of more than one year, I will also have to apply for TRV(Temporary Resident Visa). My question is do I have to fill the application of TRV along with study visa application or after getting approval of study permit ?



Looking forward for some prompt reply as I have very less time.

has anyone had CHandigarh PSK provide the PCC within the same day ??

They will grant on the same day if the police verification has already been done on your present passport (within last 1 year).

I had a January 2013 passport (with police verification done at that time). I got the PCC in 20 days time as they ordered fresh police verification.

I am from India and my application is ready to send. But finding problems with payment. There are three modes of payment mentioned:

1. Certified cheque: Banks here told they dont provide any certified cheque facility.
2. Demand Draft: Banks told me that they can issue Demand draft with maximum validity of 3 months but CIC required it with minimum 6 months.
3. Credit card info: I dont have any. If I applied for Credit card now it will take 10-15 days and credit card will be with the limit of Rs 25K only.

I have another option, my cousin is there in canada if I can provide his Credit card number? or will my credit card with limit of Rs.25K accepted?

Guys please help me.

Also suggest how can I get my cousin's sign on the form.

Just checked my application status and found the second line of update on the cic website.
We started processing your application on November 1, 2014.
Any statistics normally how many days after one receives the MR request.

I received MR yesterday but my new born son is not included in the same as I sent all documents for new born last week only. I sent an email to NDVO to inform about the same and below response is what i got from their side:

Seems till now they haven't processed application I sent for new born. Please advise, what to do?

It is not d case dese days.....now u have to take a proper appointment even for PCC....i am telling from my experience. ...and usually u get an appointment date after one month of applying...i booked appointment at around 7 September and got d appointment for 21 october....dey dont entertain you before your appointed date

I got my PCC as a walk-in applicant last August.

You can also find in the link below that PCC is treated as walk-in application in several PSKs in Delhi.

But, like I said in my post earlier, rules of RPO/PSK may vary depending on the state.

any 4011 got medicals recently??

I am having Ph.D degree and my file is sent in October. My WES report says the degree was earned through course work, examination and dissertation. I have attached only degree certificate of Ph.D with my application and not transcript for Ph.D Degree as the checklist mentions:
Proof of your completed Canadian or foreign educational credential(s) can include copies of your:
• secondary or post-secondary education documents (certificates, diplomas or degrees), and
• transcripts for successfully completed secondary or post-secondary studies, if available.

During my Ph.D work I had taken course work for only two subjects so we don't have transcripts for it. Will it be a problem? I am applying for NOC 4011 and still can qualify if they consider only masters degree for which I have attached transcripts in my application.
Requesting all to answer to my queries.

Thank you very much for the info. It looks like my app is in some officers hand and will be decided by EoD their time today. Hoping for the best.

The officer has already approved it...but just checking if any free coupons are in the package..lol.

Currently they are working on/charging applications they received on 18th July.
Have patience!! You will hear some positive news withing 1 -2 weeks.

ICICI Bank provided DD valid for 1 year. Pls enquire explaining the purpose and say the beneficiary is a foreign entity. Gd Luck!
