Friends,
The recent queries/conversations about points for English language on this forum have confused me little bit.
So, I want to make it clear of point's allocation for IELTS scores. (Please correct me if I am wrong)
Points are allocated based on CLB level as shown below:
First Official Language Points
Speaking Listening Reading Writing
CLB level 9 or higher 6 (IELTS 7) 6 (IELTS 8.) 6 (IELTS 7) 6 (IELTS 7)
CLB level 8 5(IELTS 6.5) 5 (IELTS 7.5) 5 (IELTS 6.5) 5 (IELTS 6.5)
CLB level 7 4 (IELTS 6) 4 (IELTS 6) 4 (IELTS 6) 4 (IELTS 6)
Below CLB level 7 Not eligible to apply

Points calculation:
Example 1:
If I get IELTS scores as follows: Speaking 7, Listening 7.5, Reading 7, Writing 6.
My CLB level as above table is 7. So 4 points will be allocated for each category.
Total points observe towards English language ability is 16.
Example 2:
If I get IELTS scores as follows: Speaking 7, Listening 7.5, Reading 7, Writing 6.5.
My CLB level as above table is 8. So 5 points will be allocated for each category.
Total points observe towards English language ability is 20.
Both are incorrect. CLB level is determined and points are given individually to each category. For example, in the first case you will get 6+5+6+4 = 21 points.

PLS RE-POSTING AGAIN...FOR MORE INFORMATION/GUIDANCE....

Dear Forum members,
I am 13th May Applicant (from NDVO, NOC 2133) got MR, PCC, RPRF request just five days ago for me, my wife & and our two year kid. I am going to send my all docs to NDVO soon. Actually When I applied last time for FSW-2013, due to cap reached, my file was returned. So I went for Australia PR in FEB-2014 and by grace of GOD, I got visa grant for AUS in this OCT-2014. Now confusion/dilemma is as follow:
1) Now what should be done in this case? Should I go to AUS first to validate/stamp my AUS PR/visa after sending my MR, PCC, RPRF to NDVO? In this case I can wait for passport request from Canada and I can stay about 2 months to stamp my AUS PR visa and then come back to India and send my passport to NDVO when passport request generated from NDVO.
2) How much time generally NDVO take to send us passport request after MR done? And how much time generally NDVO provide to send passport to NDVO? Is just like 45 days like we send MR,PCC?
3) Generally when NDVO return our Canada stamped passport to us? Within a month or 2-3 months?
4) OR, in a second case, should i wait for passport request from NDVO and then after stamping Canada PR , i fly to AUS to validate/stamp my AUS visa!! Is it possible? I mean can anyone continue with two PRs simultaneously for a just 3-4 months? I don't want to continue both PRs simultaneously and just want to check my better job prospects in both countries after visiting them personally.
5) Will my stamped Canada PR affect me to enter in AUS?
6) Or my stamped AUS PR will affect my FSW application when i will send my passport to NDVO?
7) If i enter once in AUS for 2 months and then wish to come India to continue my Canada application, is it possible and legal? Shall i need to take resident return visa from AUS if i want t fly back to AUS in future?
8) Is there any immigration rule that one has to surrender any one PR if gets two, especially in case Canada & Australia? I want to surrender any one of them but not now as i want to check my job opportunities in both countries and the after 4-6 months after visiting both countries, i will surely surrender one visa since it would not be practical at all moving back & forth!!

I am actually doing my PR procedures for both countries on my own without any consultant ,so i am having all above queries and i would be deeply thankful if anybody can shed some light whatever information you people have.

Manoj.
Manoj,

I responded to your post. Please check.

You should answer NO since your application in those cases weren't technically rejected. They were just not processed at all.

PR for the BC PNP, FSW Backlog Reduction Pilot applicants

Hello

I applied under BC PNP, FSW Backlog Reduction Pilot in May 2013 and I landed in Canada since June 2014.

Now I have an open work permit; but I want to know about processing of permanent residence.
I have not done medical check yet and I am confused if CIO(Sydney) will ask me to do the medical check or the embassy which already issued the visa for me is responsible for that.

As I see, there is not any change with my application status on internet. It shows " Application Received".

How long does it take?

I appreciate if you share your experiences with me.

Good news and a query:

Hi fellow forum members, I would like to share with you all that I received a request from CPC-O on 10-31 to submit medicals, PCC & RPRF fee.
App received date: 28-May-2014
Visa office: CPC-O
PER: 22-Sep-2014
Medical, PCC & RPRF request: 31-Oct

I had chosen CPC-O as my Immigration Office because I was residing in USA and was lawfully admitted to USA for at least one (1) year.

I have recently returned to India and would have to change my address to India address (unless I get another US assignment).

My questions are:
1) If my residential address is changed to India address at this stage, will my file get transferred to NDVO or will CPC-O continue to process it? I am ready to give mailing address of Canada if that helps to keep my file in CPC-O.
2) I am hoping to get another US assignment by December. So, should I wait for a few days and if I manage to go back to US, then directly change my address to new US address? I have been given 60 days by CPC-O to submit medicals, PCC & RPRF fee.
3) How much delay will it cause if my file gets transferred to NDVO?

Hi everyone,
just an update: There were many cases when one invalid entry (with obviously wrong/mismatched dates) in the spreadsheet breaks the charts and the estimates. Moreover, Google Forms does not provide enough flexibility to tell people right away that they're entering invalid dates. As a workaround, I've implemented a filter, so that obviously invalid entries won't affect the statistics, the charts and the estimates anymore. It's not a really comprehensive solution, because sometimes even a human can't tell if there's a typo in a date, - but it helps a lot.

Validation error descriptions are now visible in the "Validation Errors" column (index AU), so diligent entry owners can read it and fix their entry. There are not so many invalid entries, so most probably validation error value for your entry will be empty - which means your entry is fine.

Before today, an older built-in functionality has been used to indicate errors with a red triangle in a corner of an invalid cell. It has been slowing down the spreadsheet and it's now replaced by the new optimized implementation, so, as a bonus, the spreadsheet just got a bit faster :)
Thanks dmitrych as always for excellent maintenance of the SS. Faster is better! +1 to you.

I read somewhere that it's the number of Applications 'received'. Do we mean to say that there would be a 3 month delay in updating this number by CIC?

And assuming this is true, do you think an application filed in the coming week will fall under the cap for NOC code 2171?
Could someone reply to this please? I'm damn scared. 2171 currently shows 348 apps

I read on CIC manual on health check, it says that if I choose a eMedical-enabled clinic. It will automatically notify CIC of my wife's pregnant status. Is it true? You have mentioned RPRF fee, what is it about? For cover letter, it is a paper based letter or a email? Would you give me some more detailed instructions? Thanks for your expertise.

canadianresource said:
Since your wife is pregnant you can complete the medical and send the cover letter along with RPRF fees (for both). In cover letter you should mention that about your wife's pregnancy and the expected date of delivery. In this case the VO will put your case on hold until child birth and they will ask for your chile passport for processing. Do not worry you will get a proper steps to proceed from the VO after you send this cover letter.
