Of course. There is a chance of rejection at every step until the visa is stamped in your passport, but the chances go down significantly with each successive step.

I had the same experience with my application forms. I used the older version of the pdf reader while printing and realized that the data from the drop down fields such as Country have been changed. I noticed it just the night before sending off the documents while I was doing the last minute check.

I would suggest to check every single field after you have printed out.

Thanks for specifying. In my case, I filled-out my fee payment form by hand. Hope it won't have any issues.

Just by looking at the FSW spreadsheet it seems to me that VO's are sending out MR's in 6 months after the applications were received in Nova Scotia. Do you think they are testing out this new express entry system where they are trying to process each application in maximum 6 months? What happened to 2013 FSW applications? Are they on hold for the time being?

Friends,
The recent queries/conversations about points for English language on this forum have confused me little bit.
So, I want to make it clear of point's allocation for IELTS scores. (Please correct me if I am wrong)
Points are allocated based on CLB level as shown below:
First Official Language Points
Speaking Listening Reading Writing
CLB level 9 or higher 6 (IELTS 7) 6 (IELTS 8.) 6 (IELTS 7) 6 (IELTS 7)
CLB level 8 5(IELTS 6.5) 5 (IELTS 7.5) 5 (IELTS 6.5) 5 (IELTS 6.5)
CLB level 7 4 (IELTS 6) 4 (IELTS 6) 4 (IELTS 6) 4 (IELTS 6)
Below CLB level 7 Not eligible to apply

Points calculation:
Example 1:
If I get IELTS scores as follows: Speaking 7, Listening 7.5, Reading 7, Writing 6.
My CLB level as above table is 7. So 4 points will be allocated for each category.
Total points observe towards English language ability is 16.
Example 2:
If I get IELTS scores as follows: Speaking 7, Listening 7.5, Reading 7, Writing 6.5.
My CLB level as above table is 8. So 5 points will be allocated for each category.
Total points observe towards English language ability is 20.

Wrong Data entry in Background Declaration Form

I was looking through the application forms and noticed that I made a blunder on the background declaration form. I filled up 'Student Pass' instead of 'Citizen' under the status in the country field for part-time working experience in my native country. Kicking myself hard.

Could it be considered as the major issue as it is the very important form? I included my citizenship card. I have not heard any application rejected due to wrong entry, so far. Hope CIC will not take it as a reason for rejection.

That's not correct, points are awarded individually for each skill.

As per your Example, number one would be: speaking 6 points, listening 5 points, reading 6 points and writing 4 points for a total of 21 points
