This could probably indicate that as soon as a file is opened, UCI no is allocated, irrespective of a file is complete or not.

Using the country of residence will be wrong. Some countries issue their passport to ppl of certain nationality or territory (not necessarily stateless person) even when they are not citizen. Moreover, emergency passports are also issued in special circumstance to other nationals (if they don't have embassy in that country).

Some countries like the UK and the US have a distinction between “citizens” and “nationals”. For the US, some people from the American Samoa can for example get a passport issued by the US Department of State but cannot claim the US as their “country of citizenship”.
British Passport, is issued to all British nationals, even if they are not British citizens (such as British protected person (including Irish Citizen) and British subject).

I lean towards your answer, I think country of issue is intended for those who are stateless or those who don't have valid travel documents from their country of origin. But my friend wanted to mention the country of residence since passport was issued there instead of country of nationality.

Hello all,

I'm trying to fill out the Economic Classes - Federal Skilled Workers form. However, I've come across a few questions that do not apply to my case, including the question about whether my employer obtained a confirmation letter from Employment and Social Development Canada (I do not have an offer of employment in Canada) and the ones about my accompanying spouse (I am divorced). Shall I answer no to these questions or just leave the boxes blank and write not applicable next to the questions after printing the form out?

Please help as I'm running out of time!

Dear Forum members,
I am 13th May Applicant (from NDVO, NOC 2133) got MR, PCC, RPRF request just five days ago for me, my wife & and our two year kid. I am going to send my all docs to NDVO soon. Actually When I applied last time for FSW-2013, due to cap reached, my file was returned. So I went for Australia PR in FEB-2014 and by grace of GOD, I got visa grant for AUS in this OCT-2014. Now confusion/dilemma is as follow:
1) Now what should be done in this case? Should I go to AUS first to validate/stamp my AUS PR/visa after sending my MR, PCC, RPRF to NDVO? In this case I can wait for passport request from Canada and I can stay about 2 months to stamp my AUS PR visa and then come back to India and send my passport to NDVO when passport request generated from NDVO.
2) How much time generally NDVO take to send us passport request after MR done? And how much time generally NDVO provide to send passport to NDVO? Is just like 45 days like we send MR,PCC?
3) Generally when NDVO return our Canada stamped passport to us? Within a month or 2-3 months?
4) OR, in a second case, should i wait for passport request from NDVO and then after stamping Canada PR , i fly to AUS to validate/stamp my AUS visa!! Is it possible? I mean can anyone continue with two PRs simultaneously for a just 3-4 months? I don’t want to continue both PRs simultaneously and just want to check my better job prospects in both countries after visiting them personally.
5) Will my stamped Canada PR affect me to enter in AUS?
6) Or my stamped AUS PR will affect my FSW application when i will send my passport to NDVO?
7) If i enter once in AUS for 2 months and then wish to come India to continue my Canada application, is it possible and legal? Shall i need to take resident return visa from AUS if i want t fly back to AUS in future?
8) Is there any immigration rule that one has to surrender any one PR if gets two, especially in case Canada & Australia? I want to surrender any one of them but not now as i want to check my job opportunities in both countries and the after 4-6 months after visiting both countries, i will surely surrender one visa since it would not be practical at all moving back & forth!!

I am actually doing my PR procedures for both countries on my own without any consultant ,so i am having all above queries and i would be deeply thankful if anybody can shed some light whatever information you people have.

Dear members I applied under 0013 my first application received on may 20 and I received my file back on 21 of October the letter indicates that my file has been returned to me because there is missing document(university transcripts) and the work experience. So can you please update my status.

Later I sent a new a application and it was received on July 14 and today my credit card has been charged!!!! What dose that mean? I'm confused
And how can I enter my second application information?

Call +161394444000, you have to speak to them nicely and apologise for being a bother on their job, then go for the reason you called, that you sent your application and have not received any correspondence, they will ask you a few questions, put you on hold and do a search with your last name, first name , date of birth, country of birth .

Refer to dadabigboy post on page 8024 for the number and refer to 8020 for the conversation they had.

Most Important : CIC works from Mon - Fri (8 am - 4 Pm ET) that will be 5.30 Pm - 2.30 Am IST

Yikes!!!!! @ grooby u dont wanna know how long that call was, but first let me warn you, please buy skype credit, NEVER USE YOUR REGULAR PHONE MINUTES, moving from the IVR to wait time took 3 minutes then i was put on a 15 minutes wait time, which actually went on to 20 minutes before someone picked my call, it took her 5 minutes to do her search and return to me.

i hope this helps someone. FYI i burnt out $10 skype credit the last 4 days trying to get this, i spoke to several nasty customer care specialists but be undeterred go for the jugular (what you want).

In full details Field of Study column what should i write. like in class 6 i studied math, general science, eng, bangali, geography,etc. should i write all those subjects or write N/A or just to write General subjects.

Finally I got response from CIC after 40 days on query of not received PER mail and my dd was en cashed on 10 July in reply they wrote they have sent PER e mail on 13 August ...... So now almost more then 2.5 months since they sent e mail. Now I wrote them tht I think they have wrong e mail add.

Dear Seniors

I am confused in making the bank statement I have a loan of AED 50,000 from a bank in which my direct salary is credited monthly installment is being deducted from this account. I have another personal account from which I am paying my car installments , value of car in 2014 is 65,000 again monthly deduction . Now my total saving at this point is 50,000AED which would raise in next six months ,however I have property back home worth around 80,000AED . please advise me how should I make the statement in this case I am too worried about it.

I am a 2nd July applicant from Bangladesh. From the SS, I can see that 3rd July applicant received PER on 28th October. I am yet to receive my PER. I am really worried. I checked with the bank last week and the DD is still outstanding. What should I do? I have been patience for 4months but now I am losing it.
