Hi All,
23 June applicant, DD encashed on 15th Oct, have not received PER yet. So I called CIC call centre. After waiting for aprox. 15 minutes, there was some one on the other side. She asked me few basic questions to establish my authenticity and then finally gave me the news that my app status is "in process". Also gave me UCI and application no. as well.
Checked on ECAS, said no info found. Then provided my full name instead of family name and the status was visible.
The main page says "In Process" and on clicking this " we received your application on 23rd June" is displayed.

Is this as good as PER?

Yes It is. Congratulations. Can you please share the call centre no on which you got UCI. me 3rd july DD applicant and still no news from them. thanks

Hello Friends,

Today I had my PCC done, I thought of sharing my experience for the same, hope it helps other fellow members.

PSK Location: - Jalandhar (India)

Prerequisite: - Need to take an appointment for the PCC, I took it one day prior.
Note: - For some PSK there is a direct walk-in facility for PCC, between 9 -11 AM.
We can check, whether appointment is required for particular PSK, from the link
http://passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/welcomeLink (check on right side “Passport Office Connect” dropdown.)

Documents required: - Appointment printout + Passport
Note: - One week prior they were also asking for “Document Checklist” + “Notarized Affidavit”, but now they need only valid passport.

Time: - Not more than 1 hour, for me it took 2 hours to receive as 1-2 PM is the lunch time for government officials (As they are the people who will hand the PCC, rather than TCS employees).
Note: - Incase Your Passport is issued 1 year prior to date of PCC, and then you won't get the PCC on the same day. It will take on an average of 20 days to complete the process. Police verification will happen (Be ready to pay money), they will submit the report back and then you will be intimated to collect the PCC.

Is it not compulsory for applicants of Punjab to get Pcc from ssp office only ?

In continuation to my post about credit card charged for my app of 8 July, i need help on a query from the people who already got their creditcard charged.

The message reads that the fee has been charged by Citizenship and Immi FSW and not Receiver General for Canada.

I just want to make sure that proper authority has charged the fees as the time was very early morning in Sydney, NS.

Yes Thats funny....Its only few months back,......Please check the below post of etha4u (Jun 2013 applicant) :

I receive today in the morning.
about amount: its 34000+ including everything..but to SCB, you need money receipt medical test receipt, letter from authority, passport, application for the candidate, TM form.

I didn't know medical is required.

I wrote to SGVO about PPC, they replied below:


Dear Madam



Our last email clearly states that “Police certificates are valid for one year from the date of issue.”



So your copy issued in June 2014 is valid.



We hope this information will be of assistance.

so that's a good news for me..Alhamdulilah.

To send passport it will cost another almost 2700taka by VAC..

I have refreshed my mail 120 times in last 2 hours to check for PER mail...
If there wud hv been Olympics for mail replication I wud definitely have won GOLD ;D
