Just want to clarify one point:

Suppose I have worked for 5 different companies in past 10 years and not all have given me a complete reference letter with job duties and responsibilities (main noc category reference letter received) then how to show these work experiences?

Will you get points for the work exp which does not have any detailed reference letters but have all other relevant documentation for proving the work exp or I can simply write that I do not want to claim the points for such work exp. :'(

I suppose CIC is no more accepting self declaration affidavits of job duties and responsibilities.

If you are not claiming points for any work then just add whatever you have. But if you want to claim the points detailed reference letter is must.

It is advisable to mention in cover letter that you are not claiming point for certain work ex. Self declared jd are not acceptable at all.

Good luck

Hi Seniors,

Request another small help... I am re-filling my forms as my previous app which i sent on 29-May was returned to me due to MISSING COPY OF SPOUSE BC.

Is there any space where I need to specify this? That I have applied in FSW-2014 and this is my second attempt?

I see a question in the Schedule A Background declaration form:

Q6. Have you, or, if you are the principal applicant, any of your family members listed in your application ever:
d) been refused refugee status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de selection du Qubec (CSQ) or application to the provincial Nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any country?

Do i need to tick on Yes or No for this question?

Regards,
LB7199

Hi Century,

I am 1977 born dnt have birth certificate. can I submit affidavit as a substitute along with matriculation certificate... Pls advise..

Yes brother, affidavit plus metric certificate is enough. Note that your metric certificate should have your full name, one of your parent's name, and off-course DoB.

You can submit copy of your matric certificate if it has your correct dob and name of atleast one parent. To be more secure you can add an affidavit from your parents stating that dob is correct and yoir birth was not registered etc.along with matric certificate.

Good luck

Dear seniors and experts,

I am into the worst circumstances of my life. Today i called indusind bqnk regarding my DD status and i came to know qbout other bad news which is according to them my DD which was made in june mid has already expired as it was valid for 3 months only. Now i am aware of the fact tat it is too late to react as i was under an impresion tat all Cheques and DD are by default valid fr 6 months. What sd i do now?:'(

Hi Mate, Need not worry with 3 months expiry. 3 months is for only national DD as per RBI rules.
When you had made a DD via Indus Bank, they would have created DD with Canadian bank (as domestic banks have Nostro account in foreign). If you have snapshot of DD, you can see the Bank name of Canada on DD (ex: Bank of Montreal etc etc..). These DD are valid for 6 months.
What you need to do is press your bank manager to get details from valid account and give you information.
