As per PPR, the passport need to have a minimum validity of 1 year from the date Medical was done because the PR visa will have a validity of one year from the date medical was done. So you need to reniew your passport immediately.

For Immigrant visa validity, 1 year is given from date of Medicals done OR the expiry date on passport (whatever comes first)

No need to do any action now, depends on your case. If you receive MR in few months time, it should be ok, otherwise, you can renew your son passport by next year in July/August (if you didnt hear from visa office for MR request), Please update visa office if you renew your son passport.

One confusion..my passport expired last month in October..
So little tense for that reason.
Whether they will issue PER on expired pp

You can renew your passport and update visa office about it, visa validity is one year from your date of medicals done or passport expiry date (whatever comes first).
Once you land, your immigrant visa is cancelled at airport and you will be issued PR Card instead which will be post to your address ( in 4-6 weeks time)

Hi everyone,
I have a very peculiar situation. I want to apply under NOC code 2172. I have all the dcouments ready except ECA from WES. I ordered Diploma and Degree assessmet and paid fot international courier. Intial online report shows both diploma and degree assessed but the hard copy received shows only diploma assessed although at the top of report shows equivalent to Bachelor's degree. I have written to them several times to rectify it, but got only automated response. Tried their phone # as well- was advised to write an email and wait for response. then I decided to order additional report with courier service again, still haven't got any thing.
I do not know when will I get report from WES. My sister in Canada called CIC call center asking what to do in this situation. The CSR advised that if with Diploma report, you can get 67 or more pass marks-then submit your application.
I am now in delimma whether to submit it or is it too late now? Or even if I submit it, will it be considered with Diploma report as WES has withdrawn the online report and replaced with "File under review'. I do not understand why WES would not provide the service that they have been paid for?
Any advise from senior members?

Once your file is transferred to visa office, send updated passport copy along with covering letter (mentioning your file number), additionally you can also update them via uploading passport scanned copy via CSE.
