How many days we will get to submit the passport to NDVO after getting PPR request. Since I am out of the country now just planning to take leave.

They usually give 60 days to submit Passport.

Sorry for posting my inquiry again, seeking seniors thoughts please:

"Dear Seniors, in regards to the ref letter i may have the following case:

I worked for 2 employers and both of them are providing generic experience letters without the needed details by CIO. So I think in having this self-declared ref letters for both employments. for the first employer, I'll use my supervisor details as he is still working there. The issue is with the other employer where my ex-manager also left the company since 2009 (I worked there from 2005 to 2009), so will it be possible to refer to him and add his private email address and personal mobile phone number and mention this in the cover letter (tell the CIO offices that both of I and my manager left the company on 2009 - my manager left 3 months before I leave)? will it also be Ok to have two self-declared ref letters (No employer letter heads)?

I would like to share with you ( As you are thinking your described duties to be insufficient) and all something which was making me negative about getting PER :-

1.I have provided 3 Refrence Letters out of which only last one (where I woekd only 6 moths) was having Full Time mentioned in it and hours mentioned in it.Rest All 2 were neither having any word like "Full Time" mentioned nor were having "Working Hours" Mentioned in them.

2.Out of 3 there was only one Reference Letter for which I applied for 2173 from my first company on which duties were mentioned in bullet Points exactly as below and there were no "full time" and "Working hours mentioned in that :-

a) Requirement Understanding
b) Impact Analysis
c) Troubleshooting
d)Technical Design Review

that was all in my reference Letter in addition to start and end date of employment and I believe CIC might not have considered that in-sufficient which counting my eligibility points.

Hello Members,

I have a serious dilemma about selecting the "right" NOC code. I am a lead technical architect and qualify for both 2173 and 2174. More like 60% 2174 and 40% 2173. In all fairness if I do apply for 2173 I might just get through. But if post visa if I do manage to get through the interviews with companies looking for 2174, am I eligible to join? Or would I be only bound to 2173?

NOC 2145."PETROLEUM ENGINEER"
I received my application back today 20TH 0CT.
Application received date by CIO: 24TH JULY,2014
REASONS BEING:"Your letter of employment must clearly give evidence showing that you have performed the actions described in the lead statement"

My Boss used the one on the CIC page, it looks 80% close to the one stated by CIC but NEVER COPY-PASTED. The reason for rejection was the least expected to me, My Boss was shocked as well, he tried his best to do every thing appropriately.

PLEASE!! Is there any NOC 2145 " PETROLEUM ENGINEER" out there who would like to help me out with duties so i can send it to my Boss to use it as guide line to right new one, my Boss and I are confused about what CIO might be looking for.

No app has been charged and no PERs have been issued today so far! ;D :'(

So it seems CIO guys are still recovering from hangover :'( :-X :-[ they had from last weekend's party! 8)

As an additional suggestion, 8) I think applicants should start adding a paracetamol to their application file in case a CIO employee needs it ;D

Thank you Vj2173 for clarifying the things. Hope we will also share our experiences once myself, Jaxon and my friend receive our respective PER's.

I have included exhaustive job roles and responsibilities in my reference letters. Though I have 10+ years of experience, I have claimed only 4+ years to match NOC 2171. With your post I am very confident that officer would be convinced and hit the send button of PER mail. 8) 8) 8)
