Dear all,

Got my PER an hour back...18th June Applicant.....Few things I would like to share. I have totally relied on the forum members' advice. Had my fingers crossed because my reference letter did not have any info about salary, working hrs, they only had mentioned that I am working there since this date as an engineer. I had listed the job duties on plain paper with supervisors sign and his business card.

First, you do not get a PR status when they stamp your passport. You will get a PR status after you land in Canada. The visa will be valid only for 1 year from the date of your medical. So if you don't land in Canada before your visa expires, you will lose the visa. My recommendation is that you fly to Canada after you get your visa and officially make a landing to gain PR status. then you need to wait for 1.5 months to get your PR card in the mail. Then you can come back to india and keep traveling back to canada to maintain your status. thats your only option. Other option is to not accept the job or break their contract after taking the job. You should not delay your landing after you get your passport stamp. Coz otherwise, you will have wasted all the time, effort, money you have invested in the FSW process.

+1 . thanks

Brother I think you misunderstood or may be I did. Not sure but below I have explained what I think.

Answer of previous discussion:

Question:
@ MinChrisA Operational Bulletin 572 says the FSWP close on 04/30/15. This date is still valid or will be close on 12/31/14? #AskAlexander

Tweeted by Chris Alexander
"FSWP will remain open under new #ExpressEntry system in 2015. Build a profile Jan 1! #AskAlexander http://gobu.me/1fGIHOK

In response to one tweet Chris responded he is going to announces Express Entry on Jan 1.
In response to to above tweet he gave above response.

So that FSW will be open till 30-04-2014 (or untill cap is full) even though express entry is introduced/launched on Jan 1.

That's my understanding.

Finally, someone who knows how to read! You're correct.

UNLESS a new Ministerial Instruction is issued, FSW REMAINS OPEN until APRIL 30, 2015.

I will bet any amount of money that FSW does not close on December 31, 2014. (Anyone who wants to take me up on it, must prove you have the actual amount of money you wish to bet, and we can escrow in advance with a third-party escrow service.)

Correct me if i am wrong. there was someone from the community who got confirmation from CIC through call center and they said FSWP will be active till 2015 april. I am not sure who he was but there was confirmation for sure!!

Yes, there was someone, but I forget who. It is also in the Ministerial Instructions clear as day. CIC must follow the Ministerial Instructions.

It was always clear that FSW will be under express entry starting in Jan 2015. So, the minister didn't give any new information. He didn't explicitly say that the current program will end early either, neither did he say that it will continue past Jan 2015 as a separate program, which was the original question. Although my hunch is that they will soon announce the official end of the current program before jan 2015.

No, it's not clear, because that's not correct.

They can announce new MI anytime they want.

They CAN announce new MI any time they want, but until they DO, it is incorrect, misleading and irresponsible to say that FSW will end on December 31. It could mean the difference between a qualified person applying or not. It's like saying your leg is already broken because you MIGHT fall off a horse. Totally illogical.

Dear all,

Got my PER an hour back...18th June Applicant.....Few things I would like to share. I have totally relied on the forum members' advice. mine is a border point case, 67 points. Had my fingers crossed because my reference letter did not have any info about salary, working hrs, they only had mentioned that I am working there since this date as an engineer. I had listed the job duties on plain paper with supervisors sign and his business card. My CC got charged on 7th oct and got confirmation from bank that my DD was en cashed on 10th oct, yes, had used both methods (150+550=700 with DD & 550 with CC, be informed that only single or multiple ppl fee can be done by either ways, we cannot use fractions, like 800 & 450 for fee of 1250 CAD). Now the problem was that I would get 67 points only with 2+ years exp. and my ref letter was with 2.8 years but without working hours so was skeptical how many years will they consider.....but God is great.....and ur good wishes are always there..... :) :)

GOD truly is great, congrats.. pending +1 karma

[size=20pt] June 18 applicant here...still no PER.......worried as others are getting theirs already,,,,,,,but my Ecas shows in process,,,,what does it mean? fingers crossed :(
