I've sent the additional documents to be attached to our Original Application dated 29-July and received the below automated reply:

Please check the highlighted line in the reply above, it says we should not use the e-mail to send additional documents, is this the standard reply for members who have successfully added additional documents to their application?
On a positive note, I understand it to mean that we cannot send the additional documents to the e-mail, instead of mailing the hard copies. I have sent the actual documents through UPS and sent a soft copy of the docs with tracking number to this mail ID <CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca>
Seniors in this aspect, please confirm my understanding. Thank you.
