thats wat i was trying to explain!!
to be on safer side, if we r sending a photocopy then try to get it attested and then send it.
rest i 101% believe that all what matters is UR LUCK...
may god bless u all

I guess we are not here to suggest people to rely on Luck. If that is the case, then all the knowledge in the forum is waste and no one would come here to take advise.

It is plain simple fact.

1. Reference letters need not be originals. Photocopies are fine as long as they are on letter head.
2. No need to notarize the photocopies of Reference letters.

If that is not the case, please prove with facts on paper. Lets not prolong the discussion and try to prove a point which is contrary to experience of many in the forum.

hi mate, whether u believe it or not, my friend got his packet back, anywayz its weird as we have seen that someone got his packet back due to ielts result got outdated ( apllicant sent docs on 9th may, reached on 12th may, & ielts valid upto 22 may)...but he got rejected!!
and yes its mentioned on their website that ielts must be valid at the time of receiving....
nobody is misguiding here
we all r sharing our own experience....and no body is forcing U to do watever is said on this forum.....
now back on ur Question, wat i learnt from my lawyer, if at the time of interview they ask for Experience certificate then there are two options
1). get two certificates (send one with application and keep the other)
2). get a fresh one later ( it is accepted)

no hard feelings, but again i wrote wat i experienced...
tck

No mate, I understand that your intention is to help others. Only by sharing real experiences and helping each other, this forum has become so popular. It would help everyone, if you could paste here exact wordings of the CIC in your friend's rejection letter.

Only non-notarized photocopy will serve the purpose.

Vivek,

Verifications are done in a very professional manner. They just dont pick up the phone and call the employer and ask questions like in check list. Verification starts with checking for fraud in the documents submitted, previous experience from past files received, online verification, etc. Only in cases where they are unsuccessful with the above, they might resort to telephone or physical verification.

They will be sensitive to the fact that you might be working in your current job and they should not jeopardize it. As long as your documents are genuine, nothing to worry.

That makes a lot of sense Optimist. Thank you for the feel good factor.

Any clue - do we get to know if they verified with the employer?

(and notarization is optional = rite ?)

Yes. Notarization is optional provided the documents are in English.

Hi,

I worked with a firm for 2 years 10 months and currently working with a different firm for around 6 months. In the application should i provide reference letters for both or just the first one which had a longer experience ?

Please suggest.

Thanks & Regards.
