Anybody Know How LVO is Functioning!!?

Guys, I am really confused. My application was received at CIO on May 08, 2014 and I got my PER on August 14, 2014.

Since then there has been nothing. ECAS status is still showing first line "We have received your application............" and haven't heard anything from the LVO as yet either.

While I am being patient and will continue to be, what is really confusing me is that applicants after my date - Significantly after my date (as late as May 18, 2014 as per the SS) have received their Medical Requests quite some many days back. Again there are several other people who have submitted before me as well haven't had their statuses updated on ECAS or received an MR. There is absolutely no pattern to this VO. Could it be that they are screening a larger number of applications more carefully and a smaller number are just being processed without any enhanced due diligence.

Can anybody give some feedback.

What would also really help significantly is if the applicants from the LVO could please provide information on whether their employers or banks were contacted for any sorts of confirmations so that we can gauge to a certain degree as to what the working pattern at this VO is like?

Looking forward to responses

Best,
Uzair

From the Guide 7000 (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#eg73):
"Translation of documents

Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:

the English or French translation; and
an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
a certified copy of the original document."

I'm from Brazil, and here the Affidavit is on the same page as the translation. Is just a letterhead and a seal that says the translator is recognized by the government.

Do you have something like this in China? The translations, as well as the notarized copy of the original language of the document must be original.
thanks idefix,
actually in China, a public notary organization is part of the government, all the people working there are like civil servants. i don't think they need the affidavit to prove they are recognized by the government since they are actually working there.

yes, i read this instruction many times. under "Translation of documents" it never says the notarization and translation must be original, it is different from "Police Certificate", where it says "Original" of translation.

"Police certificates"
The certificate must have been issued no more than three (3) months prior to submitting your application. If the original certificate is not in English or French, then you will need to submit both the certificate and the original copy of the translation prepared by an accredited translator.

I am also an LVO victim oh Pardon me, i mean LVO applicant >:( >:(

Apparently, it appears that they are not following FIFO basis as CIO does for completeness check and CC charges and subsequently for PER issuance. I am a 16th May applicant and today in London Visa office thread, an applicant by the name of Shahzad posted the following message to create further anxiety for me:

AOA msaeed

My second line updated : we started processing your application on OCT 9 2014.

1- According to current trends of LVO , When should i expect Medicals + PCC and RPRF.

2- I didnt received AOR. Is it normal not to receive AOR from LVO.

Many Thanks

My timeline:
App sent: 16 May 2014
App Received: 22 May 2014
CC Charged: 4 Sep 2014
PER: 12 Sep 2014
Second line of ECAS: 09 Oct 2014

Now, i can only pray that my turn comes sooner than later because this uncertainty of LVO processing is adding to our frustration of never-ending wait. Lets WAIT WITH FAITH.

Opinion Needed

App rec date - 12.05.2014
PER - 21.08.2014
Ecas updated with second line "started processing app on 25th Sep"
Noc - 3142

NDVO has started issuing MR for the apps received around the same dates, however there are a bunch of us, who are still waiting to receive MR. There is a backlog of apps with this second line, mainly. Most applicant who received MR have only the first line.
Is there anything to worry. Cuz there is a marked pattern of MR being delayed for applicants with second line updated on their Ecas.

PleAse help us out of this mystery.....

TIA

Dude,

When you have so many reputed courier services, why did you go for "not very often used" option? It is a risk with any govt org in India. They dont respond properly. Catch hold of the person who took your courier.

Speed post is considered a courier. However, they might assign a different tracking no. once it is assigned to a different courier. So, try and get that, if possible.

I know.. If you search for my Fridays post, I asked which courier should I choose.. And suddenly there were 3-4 replies to use worldnetexpress.. I chose to check them out and found that thwir their delivery estimate were two days quicker with half the price.. They looked reliable but the post office guy completely screwed it up.. I even called h back to confirm that this is worldnetexpress and not speed post..

But i am glad to hear that speed post is courier.. And atleast it would get delivered.. It has reached Canada since Friday and waiting for it to get delivered now..

I'm sorry, I misread. You said original notarization, not original translation, is that it? Translation with affidavit is a must and should be original.

I can't comment on the point 1, I'm sorry.

In your place, if I had several doubts as you have, I would send the new application ASAP, and use the CC strategy so it is not as expensive.

No. Only translation of PCC must be provided in original as per 7000 manual.

The WES part is limited to that only, other than that, I expect that you must also have sent your degree and mark sheet photocopies, notarized along with the rest of the forms and documents.

Agreed Wordnet is very good service. I adopted for WES twice and it tooks 3 days only. But for application my consultant ask for DHL or Fedex, I did the same and used DHL.

Now today is 6th day including Saturday, Sunday and package still somewhere in CANADA.

***Pay more and days more***
