Hi Seniors,

Need your suggestion I have applied for FSWP in July 2014 for NOC 2281 and my package was returned by CIO today and the reason they specified was Birth Cert missing for my spouse which is n't true as I have included the Affidavit from Indian Embassy.

So I would like to know from you guys, do I still have any chance to apply in the same NOC 2281 if I send my application today.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Regards,
Navid
hi, sorry to hear that, but a birth certificate must have the names of the parents. make sure you have it before resending
BTW, when was your file returned? you already your package or just an email?

I have provided the original affidavit from Embassy which clearly states the DOB, Name of the applicant and Father name and place of birth.
I think it is because there's no mother's name on the birth certificate.
a complete birth certificate must show both parents' names on it.

October, but I think you should be in the CAP easily... Insha'Allah

Affidavit is provided when the actual birth certificate is in some
Other language .

Did u submit the copy of other language birth certificate ?

Affidavit which I received from Indian Embassy here in San Francisco is in English.

BC does include both parents name in Bold Letter.

Affidavit is generally used when the original birth certificate is in native language eg: Arabic or Hindi etc
In this case we can get the affidavit of birth certificate.

So the main requirement is to submit the native language birth certificate ( where you born). It might be in a language where cic can't even read also.
This should be followed by the original affidavit from embassy and should be in English.

It should contain parents name , applicant name , place of birth , date of birth, birth registration number etc

Is this your case?

So what is the difference between your birth certificate and your spouse's? i'm assuming you both are from the same country?
if you have submitted your native language birth certificate, and an english/french translation which is notarized. i don't think there should be any problem. you are lucky that you have an original birth certificate, because in many countries for people aged at 30 or older, they don't even issue birth certificate, they can only go to a notarization organization to get a notarized one, even in this case it can be accepted. if you have submitted everything, i dont' see based on what ground CIC is returning your application citing there's no birth certificate.
btw, it seems a bit too early to get a Mid-July application returned, just sounds tricky.

Hi, if the affidavit was self attested, the application will be returned again. Get the affidavit attested by either of your spouse's parents or her guardian, an aunt or uncle. We have many cases of applications getting returned because of self attested affidavits in 2014. Don't make that mistake again, all the best :)

hello admins
i got the passport request.
i am in USA, i don't have access to expresspost as mentioned in email in passport request. if i send regular post without return label is it OK?

Hi seniors,

i want to resend my application again, because in my first application which was received by CIC, i only included printed photo copies of my notarization. even though i have not received any feedback from CIC yet.
i want to ask, is it enough to submit the "deposit of certificate" my bank issued in July 2014? or do i have to get one in this month?

thanks

Dear Blank,

I think its best if you get an updated one but I haven't read anything that states that the balance certificate should be of a certain time frame. I think it will be fine. They will be calling the bank to confirm anyway. Good luck!

Hi bosschips,
thanks, then i'll just use the one i already have.
do any of you think i should include a cover letter saying that i already submitted an application in July, just because i didn't include the original notarization, i'm submitting my application again, if the immigration officer believes my first application is enough to process, then just disregard this application? do you think this is a wise idea? or just say nothing and let cic decide what to do? btw, my NOC is 2133, do you think i can still make it with my second application which i can submit next week?

,and

Hi, there's express post everywhere, it might just be in a different name where you are. Regular post without return label is not advisable, they will not bear the cost of returning your passport to you. Better get it sorted out quick, all the best.
