Yes, it is upto you. You can also defer (form IMM5733E (search the net)

http://immigrationmedical.ca/Pregnant-Canadian-exam.html
Pregnancy and the immigration medical exam

Canadian Immigration requires that all adult applicants, without exception, have a chest X-ray at some stage. This is a part of the tuberculosis control program. If you are pregnant and are concerned about having an X-ray, you have a few options:

You can have the X-ray now, with a special protective shield covering your abdomen. This protects your baby from radiation. (This is probably safe but no guarantee can be given. Consult your own doctor for advice)

You can do the other parts of your medical examination now and have the X-ray after the birth of your baby. However, your medical report will not be submitted to CIC until the X-ray examination is completed.

You can postpone the whole examination until after the birth of your baby.

Dear Fellow Members,

I received my PER email on 27 Aug and my status is still " In Process". What should be the next step in application process and how would I know if my application has reached visa office?

Secondly, I have to inform visa office regarding the change in my address and completion of degree. How can i do that?

Please guide.

Typically ans is no...Although its ur choice .... Please check the below conversation with another forum member (with me) whom are from Europe...

"Yes u r rite that my wife is pregnant. In Scandinavian countries they normally dont do x-ray for pregnant women. After receiving MR I called the clinic for panel physician and talked to the secretary and told that they dont do it. However, when I physical visited the clinic and talked to doctor, he said that as per CIC guide line it is possible if the applicant wants. He told me that in old days the x-ray dose was much higher which can be dangerous. But now a days the dose is very low and using lead shield on the abdomen is no harm. I also talked the different forum members who have the similar situation. It is completely depends on the applicant.
Regarding the x-ray radiation dose the doctor told me that the amount is similar to the dose you get if you fly from europe to canada. so it was not a problem."

I hope this will help u...:)

What about after update to ECAS?

Garuna you need to patiently wait for PER mail at this stage. For the majority of cases PER email was sent after status update.

But there were also cases where NER mail was sent after ECAS update and for one of the guys even the ECAS status update disappeared.

Just patiently wait.

No , you can apply for your family which includes your spouse and your kids only.

you can sponser your parents only after you get PR.

please not you can sponser your parents for super visa, which is valid for 10 years but they can stay upto 2 years at a stretch.

I am not sure if there is any PR program for parents anymore, may be more experienced people can give their inputs.

PCC from psk/commisiner is only issued if u are staying in city for atleast 6 months and you can get pcc from where you have applied.

you should inform the change of address to visa office so that your file is updated with the address.

[size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt]thank you very much for the information......also would you know if we can bring USD as proof of funds at the airport or do we have to bring the money in CAD...
?

NO. Only spouse and children are eligible at this stage.

Once you get PR, you can sponsor your parents through Super Visa program (running) or Parents Sponsorship Program (not currently running).
