To All the Members (Seniors & experts)

This is kinda troubling me since sometime and I'm unable to come out of this dilemma ???, finally i could not resist to put my questions front of such experts and talented group.

My fiance will be applying as primary applicant as under one of the NOC's which is 0111 (Financial Manager).

We are targeting to send her file by Mid November, the catch is, we have our marriage scheduled for December 7th. So before marriage I cannot add myself as dependent and if we plan to hold on till marriage and apply then it would be too late because of supporting documentation to be provided for both of us.



My plan is to send her file by Mid November and inform CIC the day we get married and wait for there instructions. Is that a good idea ????

We been in relation for past few years but I don't want to apply myself as Common Law Partner or Conjugal Partner as our marriage is pending in few days.

I need to know the pros and cons if we go by my idea?

Why dont you get a registered marriage done now and have your formal wedding done in December. The marriage certificate takes a week to 10 days? Alternatively, you can add an invitation card (if applicable) and provide a letter of explanation. As soon as you have proof of wedding you can send it as changed documents by marking the envelope as, "CHANGE IN CIRCUMSTANCES".

My opinion based on the premise that you are in India.

Yeah, but if you look at the Global SS there is one June 16th applicant NOC 2174 that got his/her file returned because of the cap reached.

I believe you are a Nigerian if you need any help to re-apply you can contact me. if we were to have met earlier i would insist you find alternative to the reference letter issue than self declare duties am so sorry about what happened. But hurry and get your stuff back to re-apply

Hello everyone,

Congratulations to those who have been charged and received their PER.

I too have applied under NOC 1224 and as per the SS there are 10 applicants under this NOC. As per the last CIC (website) update, they have accepted a total of 5 applications out of these 10.

I wanted to know for which months were these 2 applications charged & accepted by CIC? The SS has no update.

just a query got to my head,

they mentioned that regarding the proof of funds, must be readily transferable funds in a convertible currency for settlement in canada.

my bank account is in lebanese pounds, but my bank letter mentioned the equivalence in US dollars.

this means 23,000,000 LP = 15,000 $

my questions is , will they refuse this proof of fund because the base currency of my account is in Lebanese pounds ??

i mean as soon as i get the approval to move to canada i will cash them as dollars,

but can they understand this ?? or they might reject it ??

Finally , had an email from CIC and got UCI and Application no.

NOC : 2174
File reached at CIC : 6th June 2014
DD charged : 25 September 2014
Mail received from CIC : 7 the OCT (got UCI and application no)
