Sorry but curious to know that how you got your ECAS Status? I also did not get PER mail till date...

I applied under FSW2013 as well and got file back due to cap reach. In my returned application, they have given me UCI which I used to check ECAS status.

Hello all,

Through asking some friends, they told me that "Indian police certificates are not available for foreign (non-Indian) applicants applying outside India." And I found that also in many different websites?.

Is that true?!
Please, is there any non-Indian applicant who was a resident in India has face this issue? If so, do VO's or CIC will consider this fact and ignore PCC for foreigners non-Indians who lived before in India?

I would recommend you visit the Consulate General Of India's website for your home country/city.

I have a colleague who is about to send his application for FSW. However, he is concerned that he might have a problem in the medical exam since he has an amputated thumb due to accident.

Will it affect his application?

My initial assessment is it will not have a negative impact. Please advice.

How long must I stay in Canada to keep my permanent resident status?

To maintain your status as a permanent resident, there are few requirements you must fulfill. One requirement is the residency obligation. You must live in Canada for at least two years within a five-year period. During this time you must be here physically.

The two years may not need to be continuous. An officer can confirm if your time in Canada counts when you:

re-enter Canada,
apply for a Permanent Resident Card, or
apply to be a Canadian Citizen.
Time spent outside Canada may also count towards the two years if you are:

travelling with your spouse or partner who is a Canadian citizen,
a childFootnote 1 travelling with a father or mother who is a Canadian citizen,
an employee of (or under contract to) a Canadian business.
It may also count if you are:

travelling with your spouse or partner who is a permanent resident and works full-time for:
a Canadian business, or
the public service of Canada or a province,
a child travelling with a father or mother who is a permanent resident and who works full-time for:
a Canadian business, or
the public service of Canada or a province.
an employee of (or under contract to) the public service of Canada or a province and you are on a full-time assignment to:

Also, you must not engage in an act that would make you inadmissible to Canada such as committing a serious crime. Other acts that could lead to a permanent resident losing your status include security, human or international rights violations, organized criminality and misrepresentation.

Yemen. The capital is Sana'a.

I really do not know how to act regarding getting the Indian PCC for the period I lived in Bangalor.

I do the same but I use google maps to see the places where i used to roam around while i was in canada.

the street view is perfect!!
