Hi Guys

I am getting the bank certificate from Bank of america in USA. But the standard reference letter (as they call it)/Bank Certificate has Average Balance for the past 3 months.
How can I get the Bank certificate to reflect just my current balance.
I took a template (below) from this site to BofA but they said they use the standard one.

Can I use a sponsor to show their Bank account average for 3 months and a letter stating they are going to sponsor me. (Either my parents or Uncle are ready to sponsor).

Please advice

This is to certify that xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is a customer of XXXXXXXXXXX bank since xxxxx, 20xxx. He / She is maintaining a CURRENT / PLS / Savings account and has a balance of XXXXXXX as of today.

Thanks

As per CIC clarification:

You must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada. You cannot borrow this money from another person. You must be able to use this money to pay the costs of living for your family (even if they are not coming with you).

You should just talk to the banker and let them know that you want just the current balance written in the letter. You can try going to a different branch. Usually it is not a problem at all. Sponsorship by other people is not going to work. It has to be your own money.

It's PER. They allocate a place in the cap only when an applicant passes eligibility review. At this point CIO updates their statistics and transfers the file to a VO.

It is an estimate because they have a backlog and hence October applicants for instance need to take into consideration the fact that these figures are representative ONLY of the applications processed, but not the application IN QUEUE for processing that will eventually affect the cap when this October application reaches the desk of an adjudicator.

Are you sure it's PER and not CC / DD charged?

Because CIC's website talks about, for the PHD stream: "CIC will accept 500 applications for processing per year"

So the CAP would be of application processed, and not of total PERs given.

This would also better explain why the processing rates are fixed at about 100 applications per day. Because regardless of the fact that the application was given a PER or a NER, it still counts.

has all 9th june applicant got their PER?i have not, and i am really worried.

Friends

how long does Cic take time to reply emails? I sent one on aug 28 and have never got a response back.
Anyone from august month end got a response from CIC email

Thanks

I'm also waiting but I guess I missed to put my email id on the generic form. So hoping that they have sent it through post, which would reach me in next couple of weeks.

All the very best to you.

Depends,
What was your email about?
Which email address did you send it to?

Hi everyone,
Just an update: I've received GCMS notes for my application, and even though I've read a lot about CIC procedures, I've found some of the notes fairly interesting and even surprising :)
CIC actually does verify the diplomas and work history via independent channels, such as your country official databases / government portals. So make sure the information you submit is consistent and true!

According to the notes, they've also sent a message to my company's CEO (his email and signature were on one of my work contracts). He rarely responds to emails, unless it's really important, so I wonder if he has noticed that email at all - he has never told me about it :D

Also, I've sent them a question once via the "Case specific enquiry" form - and this fact is also noted in the database :) - though, without the actual question text.

Another interesting fact: GCMS notes request was sent on Sep 8 and the response was received on Oct 9, with notes generated on Sep 10 - it looks as if they just keep the notes for a month before sending them back (maybe to limit the amount of requests or abuse?).

Here is the full timeline. Not sure if the order is similar for other offices (mine is Kyiv), but I hope it can still help:

May 6: Application received at CIO.
Jun 2: First record for my application in the CIC database.
Jun 3: Fee encashed according to CIO.
Jun 6: Fee encashed according to the bank who has issued the draft.
Jul 14: PER.
Jul 29: Application sent to local VO.
Aug 6: Application received at local VO.
Sep 1: Criminality check passed.
Sep 3: Document verification completed.
Sep 3: Medicals request.
Sep 4: Medicals done.
Sep 7: Medicals passed.
Sep 10: "Medicals received" line has appeared in ECAS.
Security checks have not been started as of Sep 10 - they fit somewhere below.
Sep 19: "We started processing your application" line has appeared in ECAS.
Sep 23: RPRF request.
Sep 23: RPRF sent & received electronically.
Sep 23, a few hours later: Passport request.
Sep 23: Passport sent.
Sep 24: Passport received.
Sep 26: Visa issued.
Sep 28: "Decision made" status has appeared in ECAS.
Sep 29: Passport sent back.
Oct 2: Passport with the visa received.

Update: It looks like I've misread the date of the first record in the database. Apparently, it's 2nd of June, one day before the fee has been charged. I've fixed the date in the list above.
