Hi Airan, have a question for ya; after submitting your file, did they ask you for any other updates besides police clearance? anything about your financial matters or letters of reference? especially the financial things, did they ask for any updates and if yes what kinda updates did they want? thanks a lot and wish me luck;)

They did not ask for any financial update. Infact , they asked FBI PCC because I didn't submit

Wow. Manthansk...Congrats! That was a long wait. I can just imagine the anxiety!

1. Cover letter is optional . You can use it only when you feel the need to explain an extraordinary situation.

2. You can tick option A . Anyways they will check on your reference letter to figure out the number of years .

All the best!

Per recieved on oct 2...june 5th applicant...moderators plz update the ss...link not saved

Hello All,

Request guidance from senior members on following:

There are different requirements for translated documents, given by CIC at 2 different places:

1. As per guide 7000:
Notarized translation + Affidavit from translator + Certified copy of original

2. As per document checklist:
Notarized translation + copy of original

For my Birth certificate which is not in English, and referring only the check-list, I sent only notarized translation and a copy of original . I did not send any affidavit from translator.

I hope this should not be a point of concern in future, when my application is assessed.

Request guidance.

It would have been better if you sent affidavit with the application. Request suggestion from other senior members.
