Hi all

While waiting for our respective turns for CC charge, PER, MR, PPR etc, let me through in a question based upon my understanding of BG checks and all.

Normally, the notion is that an applicant who has a less "complicated" case should supposedly get his PR processed relatively quicker than someone with a "complicated" case. As per my understanding, "complicated" case would mean an applicant who is married and has children. He has traveled to multiple countries for significant periods of time. Wife has also traveled, so on and so forth. Hence BG and security checks for such an applicant would take longer than say an unmarried and least traveled applicant.

Following is the profile of my friend, how long do you guys reckon it should take for him to get PR:

Visa Office: London

Nationality: Pakistan

Marital Status: Single

Job: Accountant (single company, doing it since Jan 2008, he worked in another company before that but its experience
does not count towards his points)

Travel History: Travelled to UAE on visit visa for 3 months in 2013

PCC: Already submitted

PER: Received in first week of September

I personally believe that it should not take more than a year because apparently, my friend's case does not seem to be too complicated.
Valuable Insights from seniors will be highly appreciated.

How about 4 ;) ;)

Thanks century, 4 is correct. More reason behind the fact that points should be calculated by everyone on its own :P

I also think the same. It will take less than average time for LVO and also believe will take less than a year. Already one from LVO received visa.

GSW, this is second instance this gentleman is giving wrong information. Earlier he was suggesting that it is very tight for some 2171 candidate to be in cap, who sent his app on 11th sept.
It is not the wrong information.Dont just go by ss.In general the actual no. Of applications are much higher than the ss because it is followed by forum members only.

+1 for the positive attitude (but karmafied :( )

HI ALL

I have applied for NOC code 2171

Application received date - 11th September

Currently cap filled for this NOC code is 311. Is it possible to get in cap

Thanks

There are pretty good chances of getting your file in under this cap. Still keep your fingers crossed for that.

If you see the SS, it does not claim it has all the applications sent to CIC. It only mentions a percentage of apps which are representative of the forum members. So far, it has been proven correct.

I agree that you may have a view, which is different from that of SS. It would be appropriate and justified to give the same with logic so that we too can appreciate it and correct our stand.

But, my earnest request is, please be very careful when you answer queries as lot of people come here to seek help. One wrong guidance and it could prove fatal. As a general practice, all the senior guys here answer only if they are more than 100% sure.

Thank you.
