Hi All,

I am applying from Dubai. If any applicant applying from Dubai please advise me.

As you may know I am working under my husbands visa which states "housewife, not allowed to work" however the law states that if your husband provides a no objection letter you are allowed to work with a work permit provided by the employer.

How can I explain this to CIC when submitting my work experience from Dubai.

PLEASE ADVISE ASAP !

Thanks,

Explain it just like you did to us, but add some proof if possible such as a citation/link to the official statement of this law.

BTW once you are in Canada you will not need your husband's consent to work, or to do anything else. 8)

hey buddy, if we have an offer from any company in canada, we don't need to be under the cap but there are other implications too.. can anyone explain those... m already in toronto & looking for a perm job.... m under 2174 and know that i won't make it since m an Aug applicant... so lloking at the job offer option...

The advantage of having a job offer and applying under arrangement employment is that you dont need to show proof of funds, if that is what you mean by "implication". If not, please let us know what exactly you are referring to..........

Seniors, pls respond if any one aware of cases of "same application and multiple NOCs". Are these getting rejected?

You can only apply under 1 NOC per application. You can earn points for experience under many different NOCs, but your answer to 12a on Schedule 3 must be 1 NOC only.

Dear Diplomatru this seems a authenric news...i have received this mail from Attorney David Cohen today...general Canada Immigration Newsletter.....

Well who all have to apply please rush and file applications before 31st dec ....why to take chance

It isn't authentic. He has domain names like "cicnews" and "canadavisa" so it will seem authentic, but he is not affiliated with the government in any way. Only the government's instructions are relevant and they say April 30, 2015.

Congratulation brother.

+1 for the update.

Nice to hear that you are settled and appreciate your attitude :)... Love the way you described Brampton as 'PUNJAB DAA PIND'.... I have mentioned Calgary as my destination city by based on your inputs i feel Toronto would have been a better choice since me and my husband are both IT Professionals...

As per my understanding being in Canada ALBERTA (Calgary, Edmonton) is BOOMING... where as BRITISH COLUMBIA (Vancouver) has slowed down... ONTARIO (Toronto) is where most of the immigrants land , hence there is already a lot of talent available in ONTARIO but there is still a demand there...:-)

Earlier people living in Ontario and BC didn't want to move to ALBERTA....but have been noticing a change in the trend...

Friends,

This might be useful peice of information to you all. I had raised a CSE to NDVO on Sep23 asking if they need USA PCC for me since i did not stay in US for 6 months continously out of 10 months of my stay on H1B. I also asked them incase they require, if they will provide me an extention to submit the PCC since FBI has now made the processing to 10-12 weeks. I received a response from them today and they asked me to submit the PCC and gave 12 weeks of time to submit the same. They also mentioned that i should submit the other docs like India PCC,RPRF and medical within the given timeline. Below is the response i received from them:

Dear Applicant :

This is in response to your recent enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

Please be advised that although your stay in USA was not for 6 months at a stretch, you are still required to submit an FBI clearance certificate.

We give you an extension to submit the FBI certificate and you may submit the same within 10-12 weeks' time. However, you must undergo medical examination and submit other documentation/information requested in our e-mail dated September 23, 2014 within 45 days as advised in our e-mail. Failure to do so could result in the refusal of your application.

Sincerely,

Immigration Section/ Section de l'immigration

Hi Thumsup,

Could you tell me when did you apply for FSW 2014? also when did you receive the email to submit MR and other documents?

And, what exactly did you write to NDVO?

I am stuck in the same situation, I received a request from NDVO to submit the MR, FBI PCC and RPRF by 19th Oct but my FBI PCC will take 12 weeks, I am not sure what to do now? Just want your help on how to deal with this problem? I saw your post and got some hope that things can be sorted out.

A request, can you please send me a personal message so that I can track your response as I am not too regular on this forum because of my work timings?

Well the journey has been nice so far...The only mistake I did in Canada was I landed in Toronto.. I am oil & gas professional... I should have landed in Alberta...:-)

But I have some relatives in Brampton so I thought it would be good for me... but no, when it comes to finding jobs I believe ALBERTA is the place for all oil & gas professionals.. Toronto is overcrowded and is good for IT professionals...There is too much of talent already in Toronto market. Brampton is "PUNJAB DAA PIND". There use to be days where in I couldn't see a single GORA .. ONLY PUNJABIS...

Fortunately, I am in Calgary right now working with an oil & gas company. The journey is all about learning and sharing best practices... Please prepare for an initial struggle for couple of months... please stay away from those people who will say that you will not find a job in your industry....:-)

Just remember try and try.. there is no way you want to go back.. YOU HAVE INVESTED TIME, MONEY in this.... MAKE IT WORK....:-)

another option for O&G guys is saskatchewan... its a growing province with gud employment options... n Brampton is mini Punjab... dats true...

SO FUTURE CANADIAN - GOING BACK TO WHAT I WROTE THE OTHER DAY - ANY COMMENTS ??

I don't remember what you wrote the other day but David Cohen is incorrect. On the one hand you have someone who is trying to get clients to sign up with him by saying they have very little time left. On the other hand you have the official instructions of the government. Who are you going to believe?
