Seniors, please advice.

I am a June 6 applicant, and just now i check my ECAS status with my UCI (got my UCI in my 2013 application which was returned due due CAP limit).

So my question is, it now shows "in progress", Does it mean my application is received the CIO already?

I have not yet received any email about the PER, and since I applied through DD, I dont know if my payment was encash.

Thank you.

The exchange rate changes constantly. Hence, you won't hear to replies with equal amount charged unless your CC is in CAD.
I know, I just want to know how much money to keep in my account. We need to have CAD1100 for my wife and me.

i think the funds should also be deposited into Canadian bank i.e Scotia bank ...they have branch in new delhi

it will provide easy access to money in Canada...

what are your views on this......

As far as I understand, there is no difference in terms of the process, any foreign exchange transaction has to comply with FERA, so in my opinion it will not make it any easier.

I know there has been a lot of discussions about this. Just a messenger. Refrain from giving -1.

The current application cycle for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), which opened in May, 2014, will finish at the end of this year. With just three months remaining in 2014, potential candidates have a limited window of opportunity to apply for this program. Successful applicants will gain Canadian permanent residence.

Please refer to link from Canada Immigration Newsletter cicnews.com/2014/10/final-chance-current-federal-skilled-worker-program-103955.html

Dear CiscoGuy,

Thank you for getting back. Can you please come up with some official link stating your point ? Since, everyone is replying differently , someone said that it is valid until April 2015 whereas some people are saying that it is valid just for this year only ... :/

Rebell,
here it is for you.
words from CIC website

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2014/ob572.asp

Effective May 1, 2014, a maximum of 25,500 new Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) applications without an offer of arranged employment (including 500 applications in the PhD student/graduate stream), 5,000 new Federal Skilled Trades (FST) applications, and 8,000 new Canadian Experience Class (CEC) applications will be considered for processing for the period of May 1, 2014, until April 30, 2015

As of January 1, 2015, candidates will no longer apply directly to the FSWP. From that date, Canada will transition to a new expression of interest immigration selection system called ‘Express Entry’.

You also need to have letter from your colleague and an affidavit. Find more information here.
