I applied under NOC 2171, below are the duties my company provided in the reference letter. Would you think these tasks are OK for this NOC?

COMPUTER SYSTEMS ANALYST


1) Provide staff and users with assistance solving computer related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems.

>>>>Maintaining the integrity of server performance
>>>>Troubleshooting and update information about user accounts.
>>>>Back up routine;

2) Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems.

>>>>Maintaining the integrity of server performance
>>>>Install and configure new software and updates.


3) Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs a computer program is to address.

4) Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared.

You have used the words 'computer' and 'server' interchangeably. You should not do that considering the fact that there is another NOC - 2282, which relates to Helpdesk support etc. Then the server part, which in itself relates to NOC 2281.

I cannot conclude which of the 2 NOCs will i put this under, but this is certainly not 2171.

no -- Any new Ministerial instructions will overwite preivous rules - having said that EE set to launch Jan 1st - there wont be any more FSW acceptance of applications effective Jan 1st

Sure, it's possible. We can wait to see what happens but even if it is 9 out of 10 years I intend to meet the requirement.
