PER : 29 Sep 2014

Thanks to this wonderful forum to keep everyone updated of CIC activities.

Guys,
My application was received on 15th May 2014 and till now I have not get any response from CIO.
I tried to contact them by email and by phone several times and I couldn't get any help.
Is that an indication that my application is declined?

My payment method is CC.

Please help and advise.
Thanks in advance!

Neither is correct!!!! :o :o :o...It's NOT General Receiver for Canada... It is Receiver General for Canada.... "The Receiver General for Canada" or "Receiver General for Canada" are both fine.

If your CC is not yet charged then its a clear indication that your app has been returned. You might want to apply again asap.
Is there any major error in your application which you are aware of .

Hi Seniors,

I had received my PER mail on 11 Sep 2014.

Any idea when I should I be expecting mail for MR and PCC?

Regards.

Dear All,

Good news from my end ............ :) :

I received by medical + PCC + RPR fee request today morning :D :D :D,

I am 9th May applicant , PER received on 18th Aug 14. Moreover, my 2nd ECAS status not updated yet :'( :'( :'(. Will update SS shortly.

only concern is , just 3 days back we re-issued my wife passport with spouse name and my current address. and I received "IMM1017 form" with her old name, as I could not get time to raise case specify enquiry.

Now How should I proceed for medical ? , should I submit new passport pages to NDVO via case specify enquiry and on receipt of New IMM1017 form, than go for her medical.

or I should move directly to medical and send update passport information to NDVO with PCC+medical itself in same courier.

Kindly Help me out ...........I need your expert advice ............. :P :P :P

Congratulations for MR!

Hi good people of this forum,

Something's troubling me.

Yesterday I paid RPRF via Bank transfer in Euros to Paris VO. I requested swift from my bank, which includes all the necessary information that will prove the payment, and got it via e-mail. sadly 680 euros gone in a minute :'( ;D a happy sadness of course.

as in method of payment page, PVO "prefers" online payment receipt sent via e-mail when paid by credit card. Considering this, I filled the case specific enquiry and sent the "swift" mail as a document(which is in english) ; I thought this was still a proof of payment issued online.

I can get a receipt issued by the bank (which is not english) , too. Would VO require me to send it anyway??? What do you think?

one more thing; does ECAS status change after RPRF payment is received by VO? how would I know everything's OK with the payment process?

A recent conversation made me consider... may I have valuable opinions of yours

no comments?

I sent several emails starting from 1st September and I got no response till now. Can I apply again? Will that cause a problem if my first application got processed at any time? Please advise.

Not necessarily 2 months. I see applicants in the sheet received the PER on 10 Sep and MR on 26 Sep.
Not sure if depends on the local VO

Hi mambo.jumbo,

Thanks for your response! It helps.
Yeah our profiles mostly match 2173 and 2174 categories having caps 343 and 718 respectively as of today. Do you think it would still be worth applying for ?
Second, we have university transcripts obtained in 2007 for a different purpose. Can we use that now for completing the ECA required for FSW ?

Responses as below

1- Yeah our profiles mostly match 2173 and 2174 categories having caps 343 and 718 respectively as of today. --->> Actually those numbers are not really "as of today"...Presently, CIC is processing applications from first week of June 2014. Applications from last 3 weeks of June, July, August, September once processed will drastically increase these numbers (they are already submitted and in queue before you). In a nutshell, it is very very very difficult to make it under NOC 2173 and 2174 now (unless you submit your app within this week itself, even then it wud be difficult actually). Your best chance presently is NOC 2171-Information Systems Analyst and Consultants (just check if your job duties match those required for this category). Even this category would cap out soon (even for this one, you need to submit your app by mid of October or Max by 3rd week of October).

2- Second, we have university transcripts obtained in 2007 for a different purpose. Can we use that now for completing the ECA required for FSW ?

The transcripts have to be attested by either Controller of Examinations Office or Registrar Office of your university, sealed in an envelope and then sent across to WES for evaluation. Are your transcripts attested by the said authorities and sealed in an envelope ? If yes, you might be able to use them (however, the "international academic transcript request form" also needs to be signed by the attesting authority and the unique WES reference number mentioned on this form and to be sent along with the sealed envelope. I think with the time constraint that you have, you might wanna use the transcripts you already have and simultaneously get in touch with WES and explain to them things if they have any issues with using the attested transcripts you got sealed in 2007.

Cheers
