Hi Guys,

GOT PER 24 SEPT 2014

APP DATE: 21 MAY 2014

CC charged: 22 SEPT 2014

NOC:3142

Congrats buddy,

just one thing i wanted to ask, you received your PER much later than others as i am seeing in spreadsheet 21 May applicants had recd their news much earlier, did you send an email to CIC enquiring them about your application and then you received PER or you never sent any email.

The reason i am asking this is coz i am a 26th may applicant, most of the other applicants of my date have already recd PER and i have no news at all, so i have sent an email to CIC enquiring about my application, i just wanted to understand if CIC is actually referring to enquiry mails and then issuing PERs to some or should i expect a rejection reply from them only.

I am also 26th may applicant waiting for PER.
Already sent an email to CIC.........No response yet ???

Hi Guys - I need your help

I requested my current company in UAE to provide me an employment letter according to the criteria mentioned in the guidelines but they denied to give me any such letter they say that they can only provide a service confirmation letter and nothing more - please tell if this is sufficient for CIC ?
Though I will attach a copy of my contract and JD but a letter from the employer would that effect my app??

You don't need to ask them officially... just get the reference letter printed on company letterhead and ask your immediate supervisor to sign it (if you have good terms with him). Otherwise, submit copy of contract, JD, salary slips etc. and mention the problem in your cover letter.

its catch 22 situation, you apply for passport from permanent address but when you go to apply for PCC from current location they will say it will take more than 2 months.

I would advise you to arrange passport from permanent address and then apply pcc from permanent address only. that way you would get both things quicker.

Thanks bro! After i get new passport ,Do i have to intimate cic or ndvo ? If then, how do i have to intimate ? By
email/courier?

In my case also i am moving to a new own house by Jan or Feb 2015. I am also supposed to do an address change in passport after that bse the old place is not our permanenet place. Is it better not to change the address now till all the provcess gets completed?

Hi All,

I am a May 20th applicant. Got the PER mail on September 8th. Should i go ahead and apply for PCC without waiting for the PCC request? My passport has my native state's address (Odisha) and I am currently living in Bangalore. How many days will PSK take to issue a PCC in such cases?

Also, what is the difference between the PCC issued by PSK and Police Station?

I have added my details in the SS.

go to your hometowns psk and apply for pcc from there, they will give u in 2-3 hours, if you apply from Bangalore then there is no turn around time for issuing pcc.
try to find an agent, pay me 3-4k and ask him to give you pcc from police commisioner bangalore.

Hi RP24,

When did you sent an inquiry to CIC? I am also in the same boat - 29th May DD applicant and no news yet... Hence worried.

Cheers,

Dear all,

I went to PSK office this morning to apply for PCC,but they said my passport is damaged (Got water smudges on
few pages) ,so they cannot process it .They advised to re-apply for passport which may take one month since
the present address is different.

And then I have to apply for PCC.

Please advise .

1. Can i go ahead re-apply for passport? If then , how do i have to intimate CIC?

2. Will this create a problem in the PR process when NDVO requests for passport and finds this is a different
passport number?

Please let me know ASAP.

Thanks

Hi Viji,

Please apply for PCC directly from SP office.

Also, please apply for reissue of passport as well at the earliest so that you have it ready by the time of visa stamping. You can inform your local VO later about reissue of passport.

Wishing all my friends and myself good luck in the coming days.

Hope there is a rain of MR's soon ....

Cheers :)
