All, something Odd so I thought should share. I am a May 07 applicant with PER received on August 7th I guess. Status quo thereafter, however, Just now, One of the Immigration Officer has added me to his LinkedIn profile. I thought this is very strange so I must share. I do not actively follow up this forum only log on to post anything to my case. If this has been happening to other people and been discussed, disregard or lemme know what happens :)

What's the profile name of officer ;) please share

I have questions to all those who have sent their PCC/RPRF/Medicals to NDVO. How they are getting information that their PCC or packet is received by the NDVO, who is receiving the packets.....

I am sure he will be bombarded with Invitations if the profile name is shared here.. haha!

I wouldn't post it here, unless I was sure!!. Direct Email and phone number xxxxx.xxxx@cic.gc.ca

He is also one name receiving the initial packages. I am not disclosing the identify though.

Does the officer's LinkedIn profile state he is an Immigration Officer with CIC. I believe they are always suppose to keep this confidential due to sensitive nature of their job.

On a positive side, you can accept and get regular updates about CIC.. ;-)

Hey Guys,

I see some of us asking questions about job description letter. I did not come across something like this on the document check list. Are we referring to the Reference Letter?
If not is it necessary to send the job description letter.

THAT SHOULD BE REFERENCE LETTER WITH FULL DETAILS OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. THE JD COULD BE TO PROVE A POINT AND DRIVE A DEEPER CONVICTION.

Thanks! :) would you also know what to put down as the occupation? Do i write my job title or the NOC title?

Your job title is fine as long as you can match the duties accordingly.

Thank you Century for your quick response. That really helps. I want to highlight when i received email from NDVO, they mentioned to provide FBI clearance if stayed in US over 6 months. I think that is a generic email that they send so should i ignore that completely? Let me know.

Seems like you already received PCC request. What I suggest, ask them whether you have to submit PCC for USA as you did not stay continuously for 6 months. And in case you need to submit, ask for extension of time.

HI,

Got my MR mail today.

I also have to submit PCC from USA , but it seems that it would take more than 8 weeks to get that.
NDVO has given only 45 days to submit PCC . What should i do now. I have applied to FBI last week , but it would take time to get PCC from them.

How can an officer know that this is his profile and i don't think that immigration officer can openly add anyone in his profile. If they want to inquire about someone they may use third party, Phone verification or physical verification is possible. I don't think and VO is authorized to tell someone that look i am taking care of your case. May be someone know to him is playing a prank...

This is 100% BS. CIC employees identities are classified. Besides, they don't do verification themselves.

You are not correct for PPF as it is completely withdraw able when someone leave the job. If applicant is moving to Canada permanently the he is surely leaving the job. Hence PPF is fine. You can check PPF rules for better idea.

Bro its EPF which can be withdrawn after u leave job. Dont get confused EPF With PPF. PPF has lockin period.
