My wife is the primary applicant and I will be accompanying her to Canada (By God's brace when we get the PR). These mutual funds & EPF are in my name. I hope I can provide the funds in my name as settlement funds.

Yeah you can but just check that the mutual fund scheme is not one where funds are locked in. Almost all tax saving schemes have a lock-in period.

Looks like CPC-Ottawa slowed down a bit issuing visa. Also lots of MR from NDVO and no sign of passport request from there. Weird stuffs.

Hi senior, need your suggestion. My friend borrowed funds from their cousins and prepared a FD FOR 1 year and applied with FD and bank balance certificate. He is going to maintain that amount till he reach Canada.
- will this be a problem?
Or he should get a gift certificate (something like) document?
Or is there any other way to solve this?
Please advice.

Well, that nearly answered my question ;-)

It's not built in feature. That's why it needs bit of hacky code development. Below is the HTML which I entered into "App. Filed:..." field on edit profile page.

Instructions for setting this up for your profile:

Copy the code above in Notepad. Find out readable English words in there and change the info, i.e. When you find "Fee Charged.: Not yet" change 'Not yet' to the date on which your fee was charged, also make sure you replaced the date "2014-06-18" (first thing in the code) with date on which your app was filed.

Make sure you don't change anything else, otherwise the whole thing could get screwed.

Then copy this code to "App filed...:" field on edit profile page. Delete everything from fields below, otherwise you'll have duplicate information on your left.

Forumites, this forum has been a great help for me to follow along and submit my application and I am thankful to many!

I have a question for which I need your help:

I sent my application on 14th of August 2014 and it reached on 20th. I forgot to enclose the copy of my spouse's BC. Subsequently, I sent the document with a cover letter which reached CIO on 18th Sept 2014. Please advise on the below two points:

1. I have mentioned my UCI, birth date, complete details of my package. Will this be tagged to the original application?
2. Do I need to inform CIO by email about this? If so, what is the email?

we have a situation here,
VDRL is Reactive, so what can be done in this case. Will CIC accepts if some treatment is taken

Secondly, what will be the CIC requirements for VDRL Case.

will CIC ask for another Medical after Certain time.

I would appreciate if you can answer promptly

Follow CIC flow chart of the process on page three of:

You may need to demonstrate you are taking treatment. Rest, it depends on what CIC medical officers decide.

It takes about 6-12 months to cure. THPA remains positive for life.

yes they have done THPA tooooo and that too is positive..
what can be done now.

I think your DMP can guide you better, has he/she prescribed you any medicine and informed that how quickly it can be treated, because to the best of my knowledge this is a curable disease..... Not sure what is to be done.

My package was delivered at July, 22, 2014.
My NOC is 2174 (actually with 718 from 1000 cap)

Do I have any chance to get on cap?
I applied too late because I though I've got not enough points to apply...
Just in June I saw that I was wrong... :'(
